Often when we think about the prayer Jesus prayed for the Church we think of the place we go on Sunday. Scripture records a different priority for the people of God than where we go on Sunday, but what we do every day: our 1 Mission in the world.

We know that Jesus is making for Himself one nation from all the earth which we call His Church, but we also see in scripture the reality that we are all called to local groups of believers to grow in our faith. If we are to function well we need to realize that we all form 1 Team.

Jesus has given His followers some very specific instructions on marriage, and if we are not careful we will think it is all about us. Today we hear that marriage is actually all about Him...and everyone who knows Him will be included.

The Bible tells us that as believers in Jesus Christ we are dead to sin but alive in Christ. Today we learn that it is God makes Himself known so we might live our one true life!

As we continue in our series titled 1, we realize that any 1-ness we experience is rooted in the 1-ness of God. Hear this people of God: the LORD our God the LORD is one!

Have you ever prayed the Lords Prayer? Many of us where taught to pray certain words that Jesus taught, but what was His own heart? Today as we begin a new series called 1, we learn about the Incredible Prayer of Jesus.

Have you ever wondered how people come to faith and are saved? What about tribes and people written of in the First Testament? Today we learn that grace and salvation are rooted directly in God and His Sovereignty demonstrated through Jesus the Christ.

What kind of advertising would you use to run a successful organization? Today we hear the Bibical plan for promoting and extending the Kingdom of God--sending each of us who believe in Jesus into the world to become Ambassadors for Christ.

How do we measure the success or failure of our work in this life? Especially recognizing that God has entrusted us with more than enough to do all that He has called us to do, we look at the marks of a faithful ministry.

As we recognize that in Christ we have been given more than we need we consider the Biblical model for generosity which is rooted in agriculture: that of sowing and reaping. Stick around for the ending though...we might all just be surprised!

We are rarely able to see what God is doing in the moment, but most often when we look back through good times and bad, we recognize the reality that God was with us in incredible ways the entire time. Knowing this invites us to step confidently through the open door that lay ahead!

Many of us have a sense of justice and accountability by which we live our lives. Just as we are accountable to one another the Bible tells us that we are also accountable to God Himself.

Many of us live in a culture saturated in sex-ish stuff. And for many church-goers, talk of sex makes us squirm in our seats, but the Bible has no such reservations about sex. Today we hear what the Scripture has to say about the gift of sex from God.

Most of us were taught growing up to be thankful for what we have, but the Bible goes even further. Scripture tells us to be grateful to God in spite of--or even because of--our circumstances and trials.

Many of us say we want someone who is committed to us, but the truth is commitment costs everyone involved something. Today we see from Scripture there is a high price paid when we are truly committed.

Many of us know what we want in life, but what if that is not the best life for us? Many of us are quick to defend our innocence, but contradicting our delusion the Bible claims the opposite: that we are in fact guilty. Many of us know what we want in life, but the Bible is filled with people who followed God into a life they never really wanted. One thing most of us find unsettling is being needy...longing for God and His solutions for our life.

As we wrap up our series on being On Mission, we look forward--toward the inevitable failures, and successes of the Church--and ask: so where do we go from here?

As we continue to consider what it means to be on mission together we learn that every person who is known by Christ is called to be part of what He is doing in the world. So what about you? How can your gifts be used for others?

Jesus has His Church here for a reason, we are called to be On Mission. So what does that look like? The book of Acts records four particular areas the Church is called to lean and grow into to do the work He has called and enabled us to do!
