Sept 3, 2017 - Matthew 7:24-27    Vs. 24-25 - Houses That Do Don't Fall  Vs. 26-27 - Castles Made of Sand   Benediction James 1:22-25 "22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."

 August 27, 2017 - Matthew 7:21-23 "LIVE OUT YOUR FAITH" (The Danger of only professing Faith)    Vs. 21 - Talk is Cheap  Vs. 22--23  - "I Don't Know You!"     Benediction    Psalm 19:7-9, 13-14 "The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever . . . Keep back your servant(s) from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer."

August 20, 2017 - Matthew 7:15-20   Vs. 15-16 - Look Out!  Vs. 17-20 - Good Tree - Good Fruit/ Bad Tree -B ad fruit Questions to ask about teacher and preachers: Does their lifestyle bear good fruit? Do they point people to Jesus Alone? Do they teach the Bible from the Bible? Is their doctrine from "other" or "new revelation? Is What they teach Clearly taught in Scripture?   Benediction  1 Corinthians 16:13-14 "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love."    

August 13, 2017 - Matthew 7:12-15   Vs. 12 - Love Your Neighbor  Vs. 13-14 - Take The Seldom Taken Path      Benediction   Psalm 25:1-5   "To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long."   

August 6, 2017 -  Matthew 7:7-11   THE RIGHT RESPONSE TO TODAY'S PASSAGE IS TO: 1 - PRAY MORE!  2 - PRAY EXPECTING GOD TO MOVE 3 - PRAY KNOWING THAT GOD HEARS YOU 4 - PRAY KNOWING THAT GOD ALWAYS DOES WHAT'S BEST    Vs. 7-8  - Ask, Seek, & Knock  Vs. 9-11 - Trust God Enough To Pray    BENEDICTION   Adapted from 1 John 5:13-15 & Hebrews 4:16 "I write to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."   

July 30, 2017 -  Matthew 7:6   Vs. 6a. - Holy Hounds?  Vs. 6b. - Bejeweled Swine?  Vs. 6c. - Beware!      Benediction   Adapted from James 1:2--5    "Count it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given."    

July 23, 2017 - Matthew 7:1-5   Vs 1-2 -Who Made You Judge?  Vs. 3-4 - Don't Look For Problems  Vs. 5 - Get Help Before You Try To Help    Benediction  Romans 8:1-4 "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."

Matthew 6:25-30 - July 9, 2017   Vs 25 - Don't Be Anxious! Vs 26-29 - Look at The Birds   Vs 30 - How He Loves Us!     BENEDICTION  Romans 5:8-11 "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation." 

Matthew 6:22-24  - July 2, 2017   Vs. 22 - Good Eye Good Light  Vs. 23 - Bad Eye Bad Light  Vs. 24 - Serve God      Benediction Psalm 145:1-5 "I will extol you, my God and King,     and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you     and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,     and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another,     and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty,     and on your wondrous works, I will meditate."

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight,  and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith . . ." 

6/4/17 - Matthew 6:5-8   Vs 5 - Make No Pretenses In Prayer Vs 6-7 - Pray Privately  Vs 8 - The Truth About Prayer      Benediction  Adapted from Acts 4:29-31 HCSB  “Lord grant that we Your slaves may speak Your message with boldness, while You stretch out Your hand for healing, may signs, and wonders be performed through Your holy Servant Jesus.” As we pray, may we be shaken to our very souls filled with the Holy Spirit and begin to speak Your word with boldness.”  

5/21/17 - Matthew 5:43-48   VS 43-44 - Love Your Enemy Vs 45-47 - Why Should We Love Our Enemies? Vs 48 - Act Like Your Father    Benediction  "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." - John 13:34-35   "All You Need Is Love!"

Matthew 5:38-42   Vs 38a. - Let The Punishment Fit The Crime Vs 38b. - VENGEANCE IS MINE SAYS THE LORD   Vs 39-42  - REALLY? YES!      Benediction    1 Peter 2:21-25 "For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."

Matthew 5:33-37   SVERSES 33-34a. - ALWAYS MEAN WHAT YOU SAY  VERSES 34b -36 DON'T SWEAR BY WHAT ISN'T YOURS  VERSE 37 HONESTY, SIMPLICITY OR EVIL    BENEDICTION   1 Thess 5:16-24 - "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.Do not despise prophecies, but test everything hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful he will surely do it."

April 30, 2017 - Matthew 5:32-33   Verse 31 - What Men Say About Marriage  Verse 32  - What God Says about Marriage    Benediction  Adapted from Matthew 26:41 - Ephesians 1:18 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Now having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, may you may know what great hope to which he has called you, and what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.

4/23/17 - Matthew 5:27-30   VS 27-28 - LUSTFUL LOOKS ARE ADULTERESS LOOKS   VS 29-30 - CUT IT OFF    Benediction  1 John 3:2 "Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is"
