Jairus and the woman had faith that moved them to action. What about us?

Our freedom to live out fully our faith and the dictates of our consciences is being threatened. All Christians are asked to join together in prayer asking God to help us preserve our freedom of worship and our freedom to live our faith.

We Walk By Faith; Not By Sight

Reflection on 40 years of priestly ministry.

We are plunged into God's life through baptism. This life, which is love, is meant to transform us so that we give witness to that love in our daily lives.

The Holy Spirit is given to us to empower us to give witness to Christ in our day-to-day lives

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are given in Confirmation to strengthen us in faith and empower us to give witness to Christ

We must not equate the Gospel command to love with the the cultural focus same sex marriage

The Eucharist is the principle way that life passes from Jesus, the Vine, to you and I, the branches. He gives us this gift so that His life may remain strong in us.

Jesus uses the image of our human father, the image of the Good Shepherd and, above all, the gift of the Eucharist to reveal the depth of God's love for us

Because Jesus rose in his body, we have the hope that we will rise gloriously and that we will share the risen life in both our spiritual and our corporal natures.

Because Jesus rose from the dead on Sunday, we Christians observe Sunday as the Day of the Lord.

Because Jesus has risen. We have the hope of everlasting life. All worldly treasures are pittance in comparison

Politicians can enjoy popularity one day and quickly can endure criticism and rejection the next. This is not unlike what was experienced by Jesus. He was praised on Palm Sunday and rejected by the people only a few days later.

Baptism calls us to a new life in Christ. This life depends upon our believing in Christ. This entails a belief that leads us to trust in Christ and not to trust in the things that the world tells us can bring us happiness and security.

Jesus called the woman of Samaria to drink from the Living Water that only He could provide. He invites each of us to the same Living Water so that we may have a life that will never end.

The Glory revealed on the mountain of Transfiguration is the glory to which each of us are called when we are gathered into the Kingdom by the Lord Jesus so that we can share His glory for all eternity.

God is faithful. For our part, we must repent of our sins and put our faith in Jesus Christ.

As the men brought the paralyzed man to Christ, we are called to bring others to Christ so that they can find healing and wholeness. We consider it a great dead when a doctor can save a person's life. How much greater when we can bring someone to a life that will never end.

Jesus reaching out to the leper and touching him assures us that Jesus reaches out to anyone of us. It matters not who we are or what we have done. He touches all who come to him with compassion and mercy
