Cross Of Grace

In our times of struggle and sorrow God holds us close and provides the strength we need to keep going. Through His word, we are comforted by promises given, promises kept, and the reminder that we serve a covenant-keeping, burden-lifting Savior.

As sojourns on this earth, we will be confronted with criticism and insults against us, but because of Christ and His Word, we can remain steadfast and hopeful - we can find rest when we are resisted.

So often our spiritual growth can feel more like one step forward and two steps back. How can we break that cycle and be more consistent in our spiritual growth? And what role does God’s word play in that growth? Real change happens when our hearts are submerged in and submitted to the Bible. Our hearts are transformed and we grow in Christ by reading, remembering and delighting in God’s word.

Psalm 119 is one big acrostic poem, an “A to Z” of all the reasons we should thank God for His word, delight His Word, and obey His word.

Jesus says, “surely” I am coming soon. That means without a doubt. Iron-clad. It’s going to happen. Nothing can stop it. Bank on it and believe it. And how does one respond to a promise like this? “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”

When we are in the New Jerusalem, we won’t need to be reminded to worship God – not only because our sin will be gone, but because we "will see His face"…
