What does a snake being lifted up on a pole have to do with Jesus saving us? Because that snake on a pole represented us in all our sin, our being under the curse. Jesus took our place in that condition. He didn't come to judge and condemn but to save, heal and deliver.

God's love for us is not only unconditional, it is sacrificial. It goes the extra mile even when we don't deserve it. This love is demonstrated in His ultimate gift and example to us: Jesus. God's love is "All In".

"For God so loved the world"... is something most of us have heard. A lot. But do we really understand? This kind of love is revolutionary. This kind of love is universe-altering. This kind of love is too good to be true...yet it is. And it belongs to each and every one of us.

Are we a sort of "quicksand" saved or are we actually, legally saved?! We all have our breaking point if we try to do it on our own. Instead, get that confession in your mouth! Jesus is Lord! I believe! I am justified. I am made right with God!

We are all in need of a savior. We can't do it on our own! Without Him, under our own power, we are just heroic failures.

We are justified, by faith, through Jesus Christ.....so are we still striving to earn...or surrendering to grace?

If we can really grab hold of the fact that we have been "justified" it will change the way we see everything!

In week two of our series "Justified", Pastor Jeff shows us that it is important that we know our position with God. His Son is our advocate and the Word of God is the "fine print" that we should know and confess!

Pastor Jeff reveals the launch date of our renovated facility and lays out the plan for lifepointe church moving forward, with willing hearts.

God doesn't just bless us "in general". His blessings are many and specific! Pastor Jeff runs through the blessings that chase us down in Deuteronomy 28.

In Deuteronomy 28, God had the children of Israel pronounce the blessing at Mount Gerizim and the curse at Mount Ebal. Two crowds. Two yells. Yay...and Boo! What are you pronouncing this week?

Pastor Jeff continues with "The Blessing" tracing it back to the very beginning in Eden and compares it with his recent trip to the grand state of Texas....where everything is bigger!

At the time of this message there are 7,295,860,552 people on Planet Earth. Why? Because of a blessing. "Be fruitful and multiply". And there is a day coming where death will be no more. You, my friend, are under "The Blessing".

In this introduction to the new series "The Blessing", Pastor Jeff shows us that it is in God's very nature to bless us. And not just a little. ABUNDANTLY! So much that you may ask .."Isn't that a little excessive?"

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭24-25‬ NKJV)

To find out what honor is, it helps to look at what it isn't. Things like sarcasm, deflecting, and contradiction can be ways we dishonor God and the people in our lives.

How do we honor God? Value and esteem Him. Respect and admire Him. How do we take Him seriously? The scriptures tell us how.
