    13/04/2016 Duración: 01h19min

Sarah's been in the Netherlands for the Energiewacht Tour and it was spectacular, so we recap what it was like to be at the race and to see the junior women riding as well as the elite women. We also cover the results from Redlands and the Emakumeen Saria. There's a lot of racing to get through as we go stage by stage but lots of interesting moments to catch up on and as always a lot to be thrilled by. This episode comes free with a bag of wily foxes to listeners in jurisdictions allowed to have them* (*no actual wily foxes are available to anyone anywhere, ever).

  • Podcast 2016 Episode 11 - I Can't Love It Enough

    05/04/2016 Duración: 55min

Sarah's in The Netherlands this week for the Energiewacht Tour and so we tried some skype trickery with her phone, hopefully the sound works out for the most part. In any case, the Ronde van Vlaanderen was spectacular on Sunday and it was spectacular! We catch up on our favourite parts of the race and all of the things we loved. We also discuss the issues with the streaming and what we think that means for future races. We take a quick look at the GP Dottignies and look ahead to the racing coming up. It's a quick one, but a good one!

  • Sarah Interviews... Stefan Wyman answers your questions

    13/03/2016 Duración: 01h34min

Stefan Wyman has been around women's cycling for years, managing his road team, Matrix Procycling, and in his role as Helen Wyman's mechanic, soigneur and more in her cyclocross career. Stef always has lots of opinions, so we took to twitter to give everyone the chance to ask him some questions... which resulted in some really fun, and some quite tricky questions - I had a great time asking them all, thank you to everyone who contributed. It's a long interview, covering things like the state of women's racing in the UK, why the team's no longer UCI-ranked, how British women can get into racing and develop bike skills, Laura Trott, how we as fans can help the sport, and a lot more. And for aspiring cyclists, she had tons of advice on how to race the Classics, and lots, lots more, including how riders even get selected for the Dutch Olympic team, what she's up to now she's retired, why she retired when she did - and how you can learn her secrets. • Podcast 2016, Episode 6 - The Drama Llama

    04/03/2016 Duración: 01h11min

Hi team! Even though Sarah's been unwell this week she's managed to return from the dead just to help catch you up on all the racing that's been going on this week. We review the Omloops from last weekend, Le Samyn des Dames mid-week and the first two days of the Track World Championships (which have involved the presence of the Drama Llama). We also talk about a bunch of pro kits available for purchase and some really cool videos and articles from the week including several that focus on riders from ethnically diverse backgrounds, which is fantastic. • Sarah Interviews... Lisa Jacobs rides happy - cyclocross in Australia

    03/03/2016 Duración: 47min

Lisa Jacobs has always been a fascinating pro cyclist - she used to combine forays into European road racing with the Australian National Team with her day job as a lawyer, and now she's embraced the emerging cyclocross scene in Australia, and taking time off work to come and race - and all the while having one of the best cyclist blogs out there on her Ride Happy website. She's just back from a month and a half racing Belgian cyclocross, which didn't go as well as she'd hoped, but she's still looking up. We talked about all of that, how an Aussie gets into CX in the first place, and what the scene's like there, why she lets her alter-ego of "Lisa's Mum" loose on the blog, and lots more, including her most Aussie cyclocross experience to date... Click through to my blog for links to everything we talked about, including how to follow Lisa, and more information about getting involved in Australian cyclocross: https://prowomenscycling.com/2016/03/03/sarah-interviews-lisa-jacobs/

  • Sarah Interviews... Romy Kasper on the Omloop het Nieuwsblad, Qatar and 2016

    26/02/2016 Duración: 13min

You'll usually find Romy Kasper racing her hardest as a super-domestique for top women's team Boels-Dolmans, so it was fantastic to see her taking the chance to get results for herself in the 2016 Ladies Tour of Qatar, where her clever riding took her to second on the General Classification. But while she was happy with that result, she's really looking forward to tomorrow, when the Omloop het Nieuwsblad starts the Spring Classics. She told me about loving riding in the wind and rain, hoping to get to race for Germany at the Rio Olympics and more. For links to things we talked about, head over to my website:

  • Podcast 2016, Episode 5 - Omloops

    24/02/2016 Duración: 58min

There's not one, but two Omloops this week, so of course we talk all about them! There's also heaps of media and interviews to discuss. The track world championships are coming up. Evelyn Stevens is about to attempt the Hour World Record. Basically there's a lot to talk about and we discuss it all with great joy. Spring is upon us and about to bloom in full, cobbled, torturous glory! If you want the links for everything we talked about and lots more that we didn't get around to, on our website: https://prowomenscycling.com/2016/02/24/podcast-2016-episode-5-omloops/

  • Martine Bras previews the Spring Classics

    23/02/2016 Duración: 45min

Martine Bras had a long and distinguished cycling career, racing everything but especially the Spring Classics, so it was fantastic to talk to her about what it's like for riders preparing for the season, and especially Saturday's Omloop het Nieuwsblad. Our conversation included Martine's transition from professional cyclist to motherhood, how the sport changed since she started, who she'd put into her fantasy DS team, and much more. All of that is in the audio interview to listen to but you can also read part of the interview, and find links to everything we talked about, on my website: https://prowomenscycling.com/2016/02/23/sarah-interviews-martine-bras/

  • 2016 Episode 4 - Lets Play A Game

    17/02/2016 Duración: 56min

It's a little over a week before the spring classics which means it's the perfect time for us to catch up on some of the cool things we've seen this week. Sarah challenges Dan to a game of "Is this sexist?" and we also have a surprise announcement about an exciting comeback! For links to everything we talked about this week, head to our blog: https://prowomenscycling.com/2016/02/17/podcast-2016-episode-4/

  • 2016 Episode 3 - Cry Jens And Let Slip The Bikes Of War

    11/02/2016 Duración: 01h03min

We also take a look ahead at the racing coming up and take a sneak peek at what may be an incredible year of live race viewing!

  • Talking Cyclocross With Adam Myerson

    10/02/2016 Duración: 01h09min

Adam Myerson is one of my favourite personalities in cyclocross. He's recently retired from being a pro cyclocross and road racer, has been running CX races in the USA for over 25 years, and has a fantastic online presence as a cyclocross analyst. We talked about the 2015-6 European season, the state of USA CX (and why referring to it as a single scene is a misnomer), how the sport has changed, and everything from "Why can't Sanne smile?" to Femke van den Driessche's motorised bike at the 2016 CX Worlds, with a focus on the women but talking a lot about the men's side of the sport as well. And we're joined by Myerson's baby son Flynn, leading to a conversation about Adam's new life as a stay-at-home dad, as well as the book he's writing. Click through to my website for the links for more information about Adam, and things we talked about in the conversation: https://prowomenscycling.com/2016/02/10/talking-cyclocross-with-adam-myserson/
