San Francisco-based singer / songwriter Pete Kronowitt has released a video performance for his new politically charged song, "Change is Gonna Come," recorded live from the Cafe du Soleil in Lower Haight. The hopeful anthem was inspired both by the legends of American folk, as well as today's struggle for justice and equity. Pete co-wrote the song with Atlanta-based Chuck McDowell at a recent songwriting retreat in Crisfield, Maryland. I will be sitting down with Pete to discuss this new song and music in general

Backed by his band The Messengers, Powell, a highly acclaimed songwriter goes full-blown space truckin’ southern rock with hints of classic ‘60s psychedelic fuzz to create an album unlike anything on the planet. Check out the melodic stomp of “Time Flies,” the hard rock crowd pleaser “King Kong”, or the melodic lullaby of “Star.” The Overlords packaging includes a hand-drawn comic that tells the story of a band of rock gods lost in the future. • The News In Review - Barrett and Guests

    09/08/2015 Duración: 01h31min

It happened on Thursday, but the punches are still being thrown regarding the GOP debate. You have to love Trump, he has all of the class of roadkill. But he is amusing. The Iran deal continues to simmer. There are some left wingers that are now turning against it. The big question is... does it matter if congress don't like it? What will the rest of the world do?

  • Americas Most Unwanted and The People Who Find Them

    08/08/2015 Duración: 01h03min

Our weekly look inside the world of Bail Bonds and Bounty Huntiis the line drawn?ng. This week we will be looking at several interesting areas. The ethics of the bail bond industry. No bondsman can be forced to make a bond, where is the line in the sand drawn. How does a bondsman determin what a good risk is? Banks use credit scores, but that doesn't work in Bail Bonds. There was a stupid story out of Phoenix, AZ, Based on a tip a group of bounty hunters kicked in the front door of a Police Chief. An oops moment for sure.

  • The News In Review - Barrett and Guests

    02/08/2015 Duración: 01h32min

Well it has been a busy week for the 2016 presedential hopefuls. There is something delightfully peverse that it is FOX News that is staging the first GOP debate. Only the top 10 make it to the main stage, the other 7 will be entertained in a tent. No one seems keen on Trump being involved, The Tums will be flowing freely. Dentist kills lion, international outrage runs high Dems fighting their own battles. Hils pissed at the NYT, where is Biden?

  • Americas Most Unwanted and The People Who Find Them

    01/08/2015 Duración: 01h08min

Our weekly look at the bail bond industry. In some ways it is a bizzare industry. There are elements of law enforcement that don't like it, there are politicians that hate it, there are DA's that would lose no sleep if it went away. And of course last but not lease there is the man or woman that needs it! Happiness however can be replaced by sadness in a heartbeat. Don't turn up for a court date, expect to have a grumpy Bail Bondsman knocking on your door. A question I am going to ask this week is how seriously threats of death or Bodily Damage taken? Sure, most are said in the heat of the moment, but some, are cold and calculated. I invite listeners to call in and join the conversation

  • The News In Review - Barrett and Guests

Trump adopys a new musical theme, we can over comb. The big question is that he is the front runner. Can he stay there? The Iran deal festers, is it good or bad? The question of who lives matter? Do black lives matter more than white ones? How much damage is trump doing to the RNC brand?

  • the week In Reviews - Blurred Vision

    24/06/2015 Duración: 59min

Blurred Vision is a 3-piece progressive/psychedelic/pop rock outfit comprised of guitarist & vocalist Sepp Osley, bassist Sohl Osley and drummer Ben Riley. The band's career was launched in 2010, when the endorsement of Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters brought them international acclaim. 'Organized Insanity' reveals personal stories of the modern day culture of relationships and love, while also touching on controversial themes of war, politics, religion, and the state of the music scene today. Produced by multi platinum selling producer Terry Brown, the band's unique style varies from the progressive and psychedelic rock of the 70’s, the mystical and exotic sounds and melodies of the Mid East, to an amalgamation of contemporary and unique new Rock ‘N’ Roll songs with memorable hooks and great pop sensibilities.

  • The News In Review - Barrett and Guests

    21/06/2015 Duración: 01h32min

Our weekly look at politics and current events. It has been a busy week. No doubt the GOP reaching for the Tums after Trump has announced his presidential bid. Putin is adding to his nuke stockpile, that should do wonders for world peace. Pope comes out of the closet on Global Warming, and Jeb is unhappy. Oh there is so much to talk about

  • The Week In Rewiews - Tom Caulfield

    16/06/2015 Duración: 50min

Tom Caufield is a contemplative guitarist with an uncommonly melodic style, and though his music shares traits with ambient music, one still walks away humming identifiable melodies that float in an effortless dream-stream, built into traditional verse-chorus-bridge structures. “I grew up on the popular rock, pop, folk and soul of the times,” says Caufield of his musical boyhood, “so even when I make contemplative mood music, I can’t help but infuse it with a strong melodic storyline.” That’s good news for listeners who love relaxing music and memorable hooks. I will be sitting down with Tom to discuss his latest CD Things I Heard In The Womb.

  • The News In Review - Barrett and Guests

    07/06/2015 Duración: 01h53min

Our weekly look at news and current affairs. There is lots to talk about this week. However I want to start the program with a subject that is not in the headlines although it certainly should be, education. Why are all of the 2016 hopefuls avoiding this subject? The answerin my mind is that it isn't sexy. Religion, Immigration, Abortion, Voting regulations, etc are sexy, education is not! Why not? is the question I ask myself.
