In this episode, Brett, Brian, and Jason conclude their examination of the Second Petition of the Lord’s Prayer by doing a Bible study on Matt. 16:13-19.  As we remember that the Kingdom of God comes on its own apart from our help, we remember that the Church does not die – the gates of hell will never prevail against it.  The foundation of the Church as the Kingdom of God is Peter’s confession and the practice of the Church as the Kingdom of God is the Absolution.

In this episode, Brett, Brian, and Jason continue their discussion of the Second Petition of the Lord’s Prayer by doing a Bible study on Jeremiah 31:31-34.  The Kingdom of God has always been a matter of preaching and applying the Gospel, even in the Old Testament.  The reason we can live our lives in our vocations in the here and now is because eternity has been taken care of for us by God himself.  The Kingdom of God is about God’s action for us to make us his people.
