We have too many people on social media and in real life that feel that anger is their message, how they should defend their message. This anger then responds to descent with anger towards those that don't agree with them. They can't take someone's comment or question if it is in disagreement with them. So they begin to attack, and they will find anything to attack you on. They can't even focus on what they are fighting for because they go off on an attack tangent on people that don't agree with them. As a mediator I have to angry people that come before me in mediation that want to attack each other instead of focusing on xyz issues that need to be resolved. They are so focused on the attack that they can't put options on the table because they are so angry. It's my job to keep individuals focused on xyz. There is a huge spending bill in the Senate and Congress on infrastructure with a lot of pork in it. The Democrats have gone way out of control and want to spend money on non-infrastructure spending instead of just focusing on pure infrastructure needs of America. I was listening to an individual yesterday talking about the price of a can of Campbell's tomato soup tell you where the economy is. So being an interested individual I googled it. Sure enough there is a chart produced that shows the price of Campbell's tomato soup from the very beginning. It shows what happened to the price of a can that identified the inflationary times of America. Today, I looked last night, a can of soup is at $1.10, maybe higher in other places. It was an interesting look at the inflation times through the can of Tomato soup in America. The point is, the economy is not good for you and me. For corporations, yes it is good, for the stock market it is good. But for you and me, who have to survive, inflation pays a big part in our lives. We are doing a bad job at communicating with other people. We are willing to call people names just because they don't believe as you do. Hate and Anger seems to be ok to prove your point, but what it does it kills off any message you may have. Teachers and pastors, you need to do a better job at teach people on how to communicate better. Anger and hate does not prove their position is right. Anger attracts anger back to you. I have been talking and writing about inflation for many months now, warning you of what will happen. Well it is here now and we have to deal with it. Inflation is when prices of stuff goes up. Prices are up 5% in the past year - the largest increase since 2008. That is not good because each of you are now paying higher taxes, when prices go up - so does the sales and use tax you pay on goods. So does the gas tax to transport that tomato to the store. I am so thankful for social media, it provides me with so much content for my podcast and writing attempts. Two days ago a young latino women was on Tictok so angry because she had attacked someone with words and got an angry response back. She went to the police and the police officer said to her that since she tried to provoke she got hate back. She then told the police officer that he was on the other persons side and walk away angry at the police officer. So here we have a young women who thinks only her views are right and she says it with anger. And she thinks everyone should agree with her and that no one will fight back on her remarks. Anger, hate, never solved anything - but it does attract other hatters to respond with hate. Focus on your mission with the words you use. This morning I was watching a tictok of a young gay conservative man who stated he didn't understand why there should be a gay pride month. His view. However, the backlash of gay individuals attacked him with the full thrust of hate because he did not believe as they did. So the hate that came through their written words were disgusting. If you remember what the gay community fought for was for tolerance. To be accepting of the gay community. However, not tolerance has not been practiced by the gay community on a whole hose of issues. Tolerance has become a one way street, only one view, one direction. Everyone else is not tolerable. In politics we see the same issues and the view that if you don't go with us you are the enemy. That is not tolerance. The question was, social media is filled with people calling themselves "influencers". Do they really influence or are they just selling something". Over the weekend I joined a new app called Clubhouse where you join a room, but you don't type your opinion you literally speak your questions or comments. Typing you can say anything to insult someone, but when you are talking to a group of people with your voice you are nice about it. But one of the rooms was called, Why to Men Give 100% and Women Only Give 30%? Just that very question has set up any relationship with doom. If you are going to start a relationship by keeping score you will fail every single time. Even when I am doing separation or divorce mediation both sides are still keeping score. The scoring system creates a great amount of stress on a relationship because it is a selfish emotional need. and you have forgotten about the want to create a good relationship for both of you. Keeping score is a very selfish system for just one person, the other individual only counts if they match your score card. No everyone is going to be able to give 100% of themselves because circumstances change
