HHMI - How to Be the Bride ~ Pt 3 ~ Walking in the Spirit IS Following the Torah!
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minA new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36:26-27 The Holy Spirit within us will cause us to walk in His statutes, His commands and His Torah! If we are walking in the Spirit, we will be keeping His Torah: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the Torah of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8: 7-9 Listen to Paul’s passion in these words: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I pres

HHMI - How to Be the Bride ~ Pt 2 ~ The Bride of Messiah is to Grow into Spiritual Maturity
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minFor when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that uses milk is unskilfull in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5: 12-14 We are to grow from being a “babe” in Messiah and become mature, whole, complete, in fullness. The goal of a disciple of Yeshua is to become part of the bride, where she will dwell with Yeshua forever in the New Jerusalem. The goal of the disciple then, is to grow into spiritual maturity so that the disciple will be able to enter into the second stage of the marriage, where you “dwell with” Yeshua forever in the New Jerusalem. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 When we see the word “perfect”, we may think

HHMI - How to Be the Bride ~ Pt 1 ~ Salvation is the Beginning of the Journey
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minIn this teaching we will be looking at the question of “How to be the bride of Yeshua”. In examining this question, we will also be looking at “How to be a disciple of Yeshua” and learn how to “walk as He walked”. In traditional Christianity it is presented that the goal is to be “saved”. However, what is often missed is this: there are different stages in our walk with Yeshua. When we first become saved, we are spiritually a “babe” in Messiah. We are called to grow in our spiritual walk with Messiah Yeshua. Those whom Yeshua will dwell with forever are those who have made a commitment to follow after Him and His Torah in their lifestyle. There are two primary stages of the Biblical wedding. They are: Betrothal and then the consummation of the marriage. Betrothal is legal marriage but you do not physically dwell with your spouse. If you are unfaithful when you are betrothed, you can be divorced. Is this the meaning of the verse when Yeshua said in Matthew 7:23, “Depart from me I never knew you …” Is it be

HHMI - Hebrews ~ Pt 7 ~ Yeshua's Melchizedek Priesthood Brings us into Spiritual Maturity
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minIn this final session, we will look at see that it is Yeshua’s Melchizedek’s priesthood that a believer in Yeshua can be brought into spiritual maturity. Paul understood that it is through going through sufferings and trials that we identify with Yeshua in his sufferings, we undergo a death process to our flesh, and that we grow into spiritual maturity: …that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. Philippians 3:10 To grow into spiritual maturity, we must be living and doing the will of God in our lives. This comes by trusting in the God of Israel and obeying His word by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Faith is required to grow up into spiritual maturity. Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection….Hebrews 6:1 For more of Eddie Chumney teachings and to listen to beautiful Messianic worship music, visit us at our internet streaming radio station, http://www.hebroo

HHMI - Hebrews ~ Pt 6 ~ Being Brought into Spiritual Maturity
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minIn this session, we will see that it is through Yeshua’s Melchizedek’s priesthood that a believer in Yeshua can be brought into spiritual maturity. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Hebrews 2:10 The word perfect, in Hebrew is, teleioo, and it means: “to bring to a goal, add to what is yet wanting to make it full or complete”. It doesn’t mean that you never do anything wrong. What is means is that things are brought to a conclusion, to a finish. Messiah’s obedience to the Father is what brought Him to spiritual maturity. We can see this in John 6:38: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. Yeshua learned obedience by the things that he suffered. So when Yeshua went through trials, tribulations, persecutions and sufferings, he had to die to his flesh. He had to die to doing His own will and His own desires. Likewise, wh

HHMI - Hebrews ~ Pt 5 ~ Yeshua is the Mediator of a New Covenant
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minThere are five major points that we can learn from the book of Hebrews: *The central message in the book of Hebrews highlights that Yeshua is our Melchizedek Priest. *It shows us what makes Yeshua’s Melchizedek priesthood unique. *How does Yeshua’s Melchizedek priesthood benefit a believer in Yeshua? *Through Yeshua’s obedience to the will of His father, and through His suffering He was brought to a place of spiritual maturity. *It is through Yeshua’s Melchizedek’s priesthood that a believer in Yeshua can be brought into spiritual maturity. This is brought about through the New Covenant, with the Torah being written upon our heart. In 1 Timothy 2:5, we see that Yeshua and His Melchizedek ministry, is our mediator between God and us. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 We can see this mediator role that Yeshua plays in Hebrews 9:15: And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transg

HHMI - Hebrews ~ Pt 4 ~ Melchizedek Priesthood is More Excellent Ministry Than Levitical Priesthood
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minYeshua’s Melchizedek Priesthood administers a better covenant, the Torah written upon our heart, with better promises; By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. Hebrews 7:22 But now has he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. Hebrews 8:6 It is a better covenant because the first covenant, given at Mt Sinai was written upon hearts of stone. The Melchizedek covenant is written upon hearts of flesh and we are given the indwelling Holy Spirit to empower us to keep and follow the Torah. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:33 We are to follow the Torah with our whole heart: Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Psalm 119:34 For more of Eddie

HHMI - Hebrews ~ Pt 3 ~ What does Yeshua’s Melchizedek priesthood do for the believer?
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minWhat does Yeshua’s Melchizedek priesthood do for the believer? Hebrews 5, 6, and 7 highlights and emphasizes that Yeshua is our Melchizedek priest: Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:20 For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:21 So, what Yeshua’s Melchizedek priesthood do for the believer? Yeshua purged our sins. It is Yeshua’s shed blood that is the remission of our sins. We can see this in Romans 3:24-25: Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14 It is

HHMI - Hebrews ~ Pt 2 ~ Yeshua is more exalted than Moses
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minThe book of Hebrews emphasizes to us that Yeshua is the Great High Melchizedek priest. Another point that is brought out in Hebrews is that Yeshua is more exalted than Moses. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has built the house hath more honor than the house. Hebrews 3:1-3 Moses was faithful as a servant over his house. Messiah Yeshua was faithful as a son and a servant over his own house. Yeshua is a faithful son to His Father as it is written in Hebrews 1:5: For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? Yeshua is anointed in his task, his calling, and his ministry: Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore

HHMI - Hebrews ~ Pt 1 ~ Yeshua our Melchizedek Priest
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minWhat is the purpose of the book of Hebrews? The primary message of the book of Hebrews is that Yeshua is THE Melchizedek Priest of the Melchizedek priesthood of the Kingdom of the God of Israel. Next, Hebrews explains what makes Yeshua's Melchizedek Priesthood unique from other Melchizedek priests in the Bible. What does Yeshua's Melchizedek priesthood do for the believer in Yeshua as the Messiah? Finally, the book of Hebrews compares and contrasts Yeshua's Melchizedek Priesthood from the Levitical priesthood. Why? To make the point that the Levitical priesthood could not bring the believers in Yeshua as the Messiah to spiritual maturity but Yeshua's Melchizedek Priesthood is able to bring believers in Yeshua as the Messiah into spiritual maturity through the help of the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant is the Torah written upon our hearts (Hebrews 8:10). Since the New Covenant is the Torah written upon our hearts which is the Will of God (Psalm 40:8), the Torah was not replaced with grace. Instead, the book

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 13 ~ Children of the Flesh v/s Children of the Promise
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minIn this last session, we will look at a picture that Paul gives us regarding following the traditions and rulings of man. He compares this to Ishmael, the son of the bondwoman, Hagar, who represents Mt Sinai. For this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. Galatians 4:25 He concludes that following the oral traditions and rulings of man is bondage. Paul then contrasts following the traditions and rulings of man (Oral law/rabbinical teachings) with following the written Torah of Yeshua by the spirit. He compares this with Sara, who gave birth to the child of promise, Isaac. He compare us to Isaac, as children of promise: But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. Galatians 4:26, 28 Those who stand at Mt Sinai, whose mother is Hagar, are walking in the letter of the Torah, and in the doctrines and traditions of man. Those who stand at Mt Zion (Jerusale

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 12 ~ Commandments of God v/s Traditions of Man
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minAs a background to our conclusion on the book of Galatians, we will look at Matthew 15:1-2, and 6-9. Paul compares and contrasts following the commandments of God v/s following the commandments and traditions of man: And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:6-9 What are the “commandments of men”? Yeshua is stating that following the teachings of the rabbis and submitting to their Oral law, rabbinical interpretation, and authority instead of believing in Yeshua and following His Torah by the Spirit, that they are being taught doctrines and commandments of men. Paul also addresses this issue in Ephesians 2:15: Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 11 ~ Dead to Sin, Alive to Messiah in the Spirit!
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minBut if the Spirit of him that raised up Yeshua from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you. Romans 8:13 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4 Paul is teaching us that our fleshly carnal nature is buried with Yeshua, and that our spirit is raised up in newness of life, and that spirit is what leads us to follow the Torah of Yeshua. Our body is dead to sin, but in Yeshua, by His spirit, we are to live a righteous life. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Romans 6:22 What is holiness? Following the Torah! According to the “works of the law”? NO! According to our own flesh? NO! With a circumcised heart and the leading of the indwelling Holy Spirit! Paul goes on to say: Walk in

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 10 ~ Is Following the Torah Bondage and Against the Promises of God? NO!!!
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minPaul asks a question in Galatians 3:21: Is the Torah then against the promises of God? In mainstream Christianity, it is taught that you either believe in Yeshua and follow Him OR you follow the Torah. In other words, it is framed that following the Torah is opposed to the promises of God that we receive through Abraham’s example to us that we are saved by grace through faith. (“Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:3, Genesis 15:6) Paul answers his question: God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Is following the Torah sin? Paul answers his own question with an emphatic NO! Therefore by the deeds of the Torah there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the Torah is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20 What shall we say then? Is the Torah sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the Torah: for I had not known lust, except the Torah had said, you shall not covet.

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 9 ~ Redeemed from the Curse and Consequence of our sin
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minChrist hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree. Galatians 3:13 How do we understand this verse from a Hebraic context? Sin is the transgression of the Torah: Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Torah: for sin is the transgression of the Torah. 1 John 3:4 So there is a curse or consequence that comes upon us when we sin and transgress the Torah. Yeshua, who knew no sin, took upon himself the curse of our sins when He died on the tree. When we repent of our sin and He circumcises our heart, then we can then follow the Torah by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Messiah redeems us from the curse that comes upon us when we are rebellious and disobedient to the Torah. Yeshua IS our righteousness. We cannot establish our own self righteousness. Righteousness comes by trusting (in faith) in the promises and covenant given by the God of Israel. Paul contrasts this with trying to be righteous by trusting

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 8 ~ Walking in the Flesh v/s Walking in the Spirit
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minThe primary issue we are seeing that Paul addresses in the book of Galatians and throughout his other letters is this: Not IF we should follow the Torah but HOW to follow the Torah. Do we follow the written Torah of Yeshua? Or do we follow the Oral Torah of the Rabbis? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Galatians 3:3 What does Paul mean by “are you now made perfect by the flesh”? What is walking in the flesh? Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the Torah of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:7-8 One who is carnally minded or who is in the flesh, does not walk in or obey the Torah. The Galatians were walking in the flesh because they were not following Yeshua’s Torah. We are to follow the Torah by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. We are to follow the Torah after the Spirit. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 7 ~ Having Table Fellowship with Non Jews
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minThe rabbis taught (in the Oral Torah/Talmud) that if you are a Jew you are not to eat with a non Jew. Paul confronts Peter to his face because Peter would initially have table fellowship with non Jews, but when certain Jewish leaders came to town he would NOT have table fellowship with them: But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision (the Jews). Galatians 2: 11-12 Peter is later given a vision of a sheet coming down from heaven with unclean animals and he hears: “Arise Peter, kill and eat” (Acts 10:13). Does this mean it is okay for him to eat unclean food? NO! In this vision, Peter is being shown to have table fellowship with non Jews. They are invited in to the family of God through Messiah Yeshua! The non Jews are to be received as family members! And he said unto them, You know

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 6 ~ Being a Jew inwardly~ Circumcision of the heart
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minAbraham is our example that in order for us to enter into covenant relationship with the God of Israel that we must be circumcised in our heart. What does it mean to have a circumcised heart? We repent of our sins, we ask Yeshua to come into our life, we make Him savior and Lord of our life, and we receive His shed blood for our sins. Then we begin to follow the Torah of Yeshua. This is showing a circumcised heart. We can see that Abraham is our example of having a circumcised heart: And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. Genesis 15: 6 Paul explains in Romans 2 that a person with a circumcised heart will follow the Torah: For not the hearers of the Torah are just before God, but the DOERS of the Torah shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have NOT the Torah, DO by nature the things contained in the Torah, these, having not the Torah, are a law unto themselves: Which show the work of the Torah written in their HEARTS, their conscience also bearing witness, and

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 5 ~ Warning from Paul: There be some that trouble you!
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minBut I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yeshua HaMashiach. Gal 1:11-12 In Paul’s former life before he had the encounter with Yeshua on the road to Damascus, he was a “Pharisee of Pharisees” and he followed the Oral Torah of the rabbis, or the “tradition of the fathers”: And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace….Galatians 1: 14-15 Paul rebukes those in the church of Galatia that are starting to follow after the “traditions of the elders” and the Oral Torah: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. Galatians 1:6-7 What was Pa

HHMI - Galatians ~ Pt 4 ~ Why do Yeshua’s Disciples Transgress the Tradition of the Elders?
30/01/2019 Duración: 25minThe Torah of the Rabbis is called the Oral Torah or the Talmud. It is also called the tradition of the Elders or the tradition of the Fathers. The rabbis teach that you must always ceremonially wash your hands before you eat. This is not found in the written Torah, but in the Oral Torah. This is the issue that Paul is going to deal with in the book of Galatians. He is addressing primarily non Jewish believers in Yeshua who are then trying to follow the Oral Torah of the rabbis instead of the written Torah of Yeshua. Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. Matthew 15:1-2 The tradition of the elders is NOT the written Torah that was given at Mt Sinai by Yeshua. It is the Oral Torah of the Rabbis. They are asking him why He and his disciples are not following the authority of the rabbis, the Talmud, the Oral Torah of the Rabbis. Yeshua answers as follows: But he
