We typically expect God to answer prayers on our timetable. In reality he fulfills our prayers based on His timetable and His will. Where we find the name "Jesus" and the word "compassion" together in the Bible, we also find significant action toward helping others. The compassion Jesus had for the people surrounding him moved him to alleviate some of their physical concerns as part of sharing the Gospel. And the compassion Jesus has for us is meant to inspire us to show compassion to those around us.
