The days between the resurrection and the Day of Pentecost are not what any of Jesus’s followers expected. There was disappointment. Expectations about Jesus were not met. Oftentimes, God will tell us when a transition is coming. But when the transition comes, and even after it has happened, we might not understand why. It is only after time has lapsed that we gain understanding. Don’t lean on your own understanding when the hard, quick, and/or confusing transition comes! There are things that we face that only God can fix, only He can do, and we have absolutely NO power or control over. But out of our desperate prayers, our aggressive prayers, God answers. He does not always answer instantaneously. He can, but what is more important to Him is getting a deeper relationship with you.  Living an abundant life isn’t just for someone else. Jesus offers abundant life to ALL who believe in Him! What kind of life are you living? When the kings of Israel and Judah realized their mistake, they sought the prophet of God Elisha. Even though they did not consult the Lord first, God still delivered them from their problem through Elisha. If you are facing a panicky situation today, and maybe you knew it was a bad idea from the start, or you consulted other things instead of God, God's hand is not too short to deliver you. The kings were required to perform an act of manual labor as a sign of trust and faith in the Lord.
