  • Vince McMahon Appears To Be a Desperate Man

    30/10/2010 Duración: 32min

Alex thanks all of the listeners for helping bring "No Holds Barred" to 250 episodes. It is a legitimate landmark, and it is owed all to you out there who listen and participate to the show. As far as wrestling news, Alex talks about a slew of bad booking decisions made at "Bragging Rights" and RAW this week. Wade Barrett and John Cena has been mishandled, and why in the world did Sheamus lose to Santino? Also, how much does a potential Edge and Kane championship feud excite you? The Brock Lesnar and Undertaker news is touched upon. Alex thinks that it's incredibly unrealistic, as Vince McMahon needs this a lot more than Dana White, but it's still something to think about a little bit. The "piledrivin' post of the week" (www.thesportsstuff.com/boards) is handed out in the "Finisher" segment, where Alex once again engages in the debate regarding the pro's and con's of WWE TV. "THe Alex Reimer Show" airs Saturday from 4-6 PM EST (Harvard football kicks off at 1:30 this Saturday, so maybe closer to 4:3

  • "Bragging Rights" Should Answer Some Key Questions

    22/10/2010 Duración: 36min

Alex previews "Bragging Rights" and wonders why the WWE wasted so much time this week hyping a "RAW vs. Smackdown" match that so few people care about. Alex also talks about how the Wade Barrett and John Cena storyline is going to proceed, as well as whether Undertaker is going to receive one more title run. Linda McMahon's failing Senate campaign, the latest (and last installment) of the "Matt Hardy saga," and much more is discussed. In the "Finisher" segment, Alex looks at a potential WWE television network and the plusses and minuses of that. The "piledrivin' post of the week" is handed out (www.thesportsstuff.com/boards)! "The Alex Reimer Show" airs Saturday from 4-6 PM EST on 1120 AM WBNW Boston, www.moneymattersradio.net, and www.livestream.com/wbnw1120.

  • Matt Hardy Has Officially Gone Crazy

    15/10/2010 Duración: 32min

Alex talks about the continued build towards "Bragging Rights," and how both teams RAW and Smackdown were built. Are these brand vs. brand matches booked because they're interesting, or just because it's an easy way to get everybody on the card? Alex also looks at how the John Cena and Nexus storyline continues to catch on with the fans. Wade Barrett is the biggest beneficiary from this, and that is a very good thing. However, the Kane and Undertaker feud continues to not catch on and that is not a very good thing. The "piledrivin' post of the week" (www.thesportsstuff.com/boards) is handed out, and in the "Finisher" segment, Alex expresses concern over Matt Hardy, who has apparently gone insane. By the way, "extra audio" is now inserted into the show, too! That means that you'll actually hear the latest Matt Hardy youtube video! How exciting! Episode 247 of "No Holds Barred" is now published in the correct section on iTunes. Listen to it if you have yet to do so! "The Alex Reimer Show" airs Saturd

  • John Cena Joins Nexus As Vince Wants To "Shake Things Up"

    14/10/2010 Duración: 34min

Alex gives his take on John Cena losing to Wade Barrett at "Hell in a Cell" and joining Nexus. Alex also has strong feelings on the decision to move Edge to Smackdown. And yes, Alex has finally turned on the anonymous talking computer RAW GM... The Kane and Undertaker feud (how it isn't catching on), how "Bragging Rights" is setting up, and more is discussed. Michael Cole is moving to Smackdown too, and Alex says that he enjoys the Cole heel character. The "piledrivin' post of the week" (www.thesportsstuff.com/boards) is handed out in the "Finisher" segment, where the topic of the WWE unifying brands and heavyweight champions is once again brought up. • Smackdown Debuts On Syfy

    30/09/2010 Duración: 31min

Alex talks about the "Hell in a Cell" PPV. It was quite a quick turnaround, and will the 2 week build lead to some incredibly low buyrates? Speaking of low buyrates, Alex gives his take on the recent low RAW ratings. All you had to do was Edge argue with a computer for an entire segment to figure out RAW's recent ratings woes. Smackdown makes it debut on Syfy tonight, and it's time for the WWE to "push the pedal to the metal" in regards to Smackdown. The show has been stagnant for far too long. The "piledrivin' post of the week" (www.thesportsstuff.com/boards) is handed out, and in the "Finisher" segment, Alex talks about Vince McMahon hoping to unify the heavyweight championships. Beginning next Monday (10/4), "Without a Curse" returns to its offseason schedule of being published every Monday. • Chris Jericho Contract Situation Remains Up In The Air

    24/09/2010 Duración: 35min

Alex talks about the "Night of Champions" PPV and the decision to put the WWE Championship on Randy Orton. What is it about his face character that has caught on so well? Also, why is there only a 2 week bridge until the "Hell in a Cell" PPV? RAW drew a low rating this week. Is this going to be a trend, or is it just an anomaly? The counterproductive booking of Daniel Bryan and Nexus, as well as Chris Jericho's contract is mentioned too. Plus, Alex confesses his love for Michael Cole as a heel announcer. Smackdown debuts on Syfy next Friday, and Alex tells you which way they're going. For better or for worse, the show is riding on the Kane and Undertaker feud. The "piledrivin' post of the week" (www.thesportsstuff.com/boards) is handed out, and in the "finisher" segment, Alex looks at the release of Shelton Benjamin and the near release of Matt Hardy. The problem was, it was executed terribly. It also could've been easily avoided if Nexus had just won at Summerslam. Does Nexus need a shot in the arm soon? On Smackdown, it's all about Kane and Undertaker. The good news is, Alberto Del Rio made an impressive debut against Rey Mysterio. The "piledrivin' post of the week" (www.thesportsstuff.com/boards) is handed out, and in the "finisher" segment, Alex talks about the tragic news of Lance Cade passing away at the age of 29.
