  • Pathway of love - Good gift of a good life

    07/08/2016 Duración: 28min

Love and miracles was about answered prayer because it was in the flow of God’s love to us and our love towards one another. John wrote ‘we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we … do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And … that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another’. (1John 3:20) There were other instances of prayer that Jesus encouraged the disciples to be confident about being answered, because they were prayers that harmonised with God’s ‘heart’s desire’ for the GOOD LIFE of Jesus given through the goodness of the Father to his own children. That GOOD LIFE is His inner goodness – in the realm of the spirit. We are encouraged to pray confidently for others that way. This is faith that works through love.  John encouraged that this boundless confidence was because it was the prayer of love and faith for others and not just for self. WHAT ABOUT PRAYER FOR SELF? Personal prayer for ourselves does not require that we love

  • Pathway of love - Love and miracles

    01/08/2016 Duración: 32min

WHERE DO ANSWERED PRAYERS AND MIRACLES COME FROM? Living in the land of God’s love means that at any one given moment a creative miracle is happening in your world. Living in the land of conflict and judgment will starve your world of miracles. It blinds us to love and interrupts the flow of love – it deflects the miracle of God's love at work.  1John 3.11 For ‘this’ is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. (Luke 10:27 ’ and ‘ your neighbor as yourself). One way of stopping the flow of love is the ‘as Yourself’ problem. TRANSCENDENT LOVE 1John 3:19 And by ‘this’ we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns (shames blames and accuses) us, God transcends (WBC) our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn (shame blame and accuse) us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

  • Pathway of love - Love's pure light

    24/07/2016 Duración: 41min

1John 1:5 This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there's not a trace of darkness in him John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it  (‘take it to itself ’- Phil 3:12) 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. WHAT IS THE DARKNESS? It is the territory (shadowy ‘glass darkly’ self) in which the human spirit wraps itself. This causes our spirit to resist ‘taking to itself’ love’s pure light - the light-life of Holy Spirit (Psalm 104:2 ... He wraps Himself in light…). The human spirit wants to own its own territory (which belongs to God) and keep it separate from Him.  (1 Corinthians 6:19) So we must take to ourselves our Oneness with Him and we must own that. (That is God’s idea of who we are!). Why does this darkness not take to itself the light of the life of Jesus? It fears exposure…Light exposes darkness an

  • Pathway of love - Fair and Just

    18/07/2016 Duración: 39min

Our spirit feeds its truth to our soul and our soul expresses that, whether from our human spirit with its mix of acquired truth and experience, or with our spirit joined by faith to God’s Spirit and infused with his love and compassion. Our body feeds its sense experiences to our soul and our soul expresses them. (Seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and feeling etc.). Proverbs 17:22  Our spirit joined by faith to God’s Spirit bestows well-being to its soul (and body) in the embrace of God’s love. It can even rise above affliction to say ‘It is well with my soul’. FAIR OR UNFAIR The human spirit seeks to establish its own soul’s well being by gaining self-advantage and self-satisfaction and by contesting unfairness against itself. That is not all bad but it can lead to an overemphasis on self-sufficiency. The human spirit would grit its teeth on the following Scripture; John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease. The world would say that it is quite unfair to set a goal for anybody to decrease. But Paul

  • Pathway of love - Loyal love

    10/07/2016 Duración: 33min

Lamentations 3:17 I've forgotten what the good life is like. I said to myself, "This is it. I'm finished. God is a lost cause." I'll never forget the trouble, the utter lostness, the ‘taste of ashes, the poison I've swallowed. I remember it all—oh, how well I remember—the feeling of hitting the bottom.  COMMENT I’m re-living the past – I’ve forgotten the good life - forgotten God - but I’ve not forgotten the trouble! So I have no hope. But there's one other thing I remember, and remembering, I keep a grip on hope: God's loyal love couldn't have run out, his merciful love couldn't have dried up. They're created new every morning. How great is your faithfulness! I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over). He's all I've got left. COMMENT I’m still thinking of the past but I’m remembering God’s loyal love – His merciful love – His faithfulness – I’m declaring my faithfulness – He is my only hope! God proves to be good to the one who passionately waits, to the one who diligently seeks. It's a good thing to

  • Pathway of love - The flow

    06/07/2016 Duración: 40min

The first task is to be ‘held on to’ in the embrace of his love. That becomes our confinement until it fills and expands our heart. Then love overflows out to others. Love wants to flow. It is our decision to either prevent or release the flow of love. GOD CREATED US TO KNOW THE FLOW Having compassion is the ability to feel or identify with the pain or need of another and to caringly respond. To see another person as ‘the same’ as yourself despite the differences between them and yourself requires the understanding of the common status we have with one another In God/in Christ. This is why Paul says that we ‘regard now no man according to the flesh’. The flesh is the disposition of living a life as if God were not present or were separated from us.  We can see everyone as being in the flow of God’s love, even if they live with a mindset of being far from Him, or that He is absent or doesn’t even exist.  PAUL SAID THE FOLLOWING TO PEOPLE JUST LIKE THAT Acts 17:26 And He has made from one blood every nation of

  • Pathway of love - Confined by love

    05/07/2016 Duración: 49min

When we can HEAR with the right kind of hearing (Attentive hearing - shema). Then we can DO with the right kind of doing, a partnership of loving with God. Galatians 5:6 Nothing counts for or accomplishes anything except faith that works though love. CONFINED BY GOD’S LOVE    2Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ compels/constrains/confines us (Luke 8:45  - the throng, Luke19:43 - the armies, Luke 22:63 - the guards), because this is how we see it: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh (Flesh – the disposition that behaves as if God is absent from our lives).  MADE IN HIS IMAGE We are made in the image and likeness of God. He is not made in the image and likeness of us.  This lesser mortality of humanity can sink to the lowest depths of darkness and yet it can soar to great heights of light. God cannot sink to any dep

  • Pathway of Peace - Food

    25/06/2016 Duración: 38min

John 4:7 Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food… When Jesus shared water with the woman at Jacob’s well in Samaria, he opened her up to the power of his refreshing presence, the living water that satisfies the soul instead of the pursuit of pleasure that simply gratifies the senses. As well as that mystical water there is a mystical food that nourishes and strengthens our heart and mind and even our body, as we share in the supernatural work of the doing of God’s good will to others. The powerful energy of God’s love to others feeds our soul as well as theirs. (Jesus fixes our thirst before dealing with our appetite). John 4:34. Then Jesus said: “ My food (for strength) is to do the will of him who sent me and to make his work complete” (He didn’t say ‘My d

  • Pathway of Peace - Water

    24/06/2016 Duración: 28min

Pathway of Peace - Water There is a power of refreshing presence that satisfies our soul in times of emotional struggle. This is not the fiery furnace we spoke about last week, of the fiery trials of faith through ‘necessary’ suffering. This is the living water that alone can satisfy the sorrowful soul in a dry and thirsty place.  John 4:7 Tired from the long walk, Jesus sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus was thirsty and he wanted to share a drink of water with this woman. But he knew that her thirst was that of an unsatisfied soul in a relational wilderness, perhaps with unrealistic hopes of how the world or other people could satis

  • Pathway of Peace - Hearing

    22/06/2016 Duración: 30min

When we can SEE with the right kind of seeing, we can begin to HEAR with the right kind of hearing. Then we can DO with the right kind of doing. AN ATTENTIVE EAR 2Corinthians 10:5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience  (hypokuo - hearing under – attentive hearing) of Christ, Isaiah 55:3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; There is a hearing and a hearing. One kind goes in one ear and out the other, it has no ground to find root and it creates no understanding. (Mark 4:12 ‘ Seeing they may see and not perceive and hearing they may hear and not understand), Another kind of hearing leads to doing. It comes to an inclined ear, prepared to receive. It changes your will without willpower but with grace.

  • Pathway of Peace - Seeing

    22/06/2016 Duración: 39min

Hebrews2:6 ‘What is man that you pay so much attention to him, or the Son of Man (Jesus), that you would bewith him and look out for him?’7. You created him of a lower spiritual order than angels, and yet now you have given him a crown of glory and honor and placed him in supreme authority over everything that is yours. 8. He is in command of everything. There is nothing that exists outside the scope of his dominion. But when we see (discern) the apparent disorder of things (What on earth is going on?) it does not seem that everything is conforming to this rule. (Many free will agendas out there) 9. But we see (behold) Jesus for who he really is, created of a lower spiritual order than angels, so that he could suffer and die as a man and then receive his heavenly crown of glory and honor - and through the grace and goodness of God, to digest the poison of death for all of humanity. 10. It was the most noble and upright thing for him to do, the one to whom ev

  • Pathway of peace - Fiery furnace

    17/05/2016 Duración: 29min

THE FIERY FURNACE  - Seven times hotter - end time significance. Daniel 3:23 And these three men, ShadrachMeshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “ True, O king.”  Look!” he answered, “ I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God”… and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “ Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed- Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!

  • Pathway of peace Two sufferings

    08/05/2016 Duración: 33min

There are two kinds of suffering we experience in this life; there is necessary suffering, and unnecessary suffering. John16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have Suffering (tribulation); - but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (the voice of darkness).” Necessary Suffering: This is life itself pushing you to your limits - the inescapable challenge of life situations in this world, that threaten our health, safety, and security, face us with loss and grief, rob us of satisfaction or simply irritate our senses and weary our soul, these unstable outward realities. Jesus says that peace is to be found in the midst of this necessary suffering. He also says that joy can be found there – ‘be of good cheer’. This comes from the consciousness of His presence always with us in every situation. This is our peace, our oneness with him. Jesus’ example of dealing with necessary suffering is seen in the powerful outcome of his faith in the temptation in

John 5:30 Of myself (??? ae?r; from ???? ae?mi to breathe unconsciously“air”- as naturally circumambient) I am unable to do anything: as the voice comes to me so I make a decision: and my decision is right because I have no desire to do what is pleasing to myself, but only what is pleasing to him who sent me.  This is how Jesus learned the WAYS of The Father. There is nothing we can do of ourselves to make spiritually supernatural things happen. But we can be there to know that God is happening, and we can be part of what He is doing. That is living by faith. That way we come to know Him and learn His ways. Psalm 103:7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. Israel saw the acts of God but did not know the ways of God. But when Moses placed himself in the presence of God so that he might KNOW God, he found himself ALSO to be in the midst of the Acts of God. HIS PRESENCE Exodus 33:14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then Moses said to Him, “ If

Luke 14:33 So therefore, any one of you who is not willing to cut ties from anything (forsake – apotassomar – separate from – Adieu! – place in God’s hands ) that gets in the way of knowing me cannot learn from me. This is the setting of the boats free from their moorings to discover (and uncover) the river of life. The Pathway involves times of setting oneself apart to practice moving from the head to the heart, and frequent and constant ‘turning from and turning to’ in the midst of our responses – from problems and anxiety  - to the conscious awareness of the presence of God. This is disciplined learning. Think of what would exist in your heart if your head held no problems for you - Needs are not problems. Problems are unmet needs with negative emotional attachments.   Imagine that you have nothing to worry about or solve. You are simply obeying one of the most frequently given and mostly ignored commandments of Jesus and the apostles in the New Testament – ‘Be anxious for nothing’ - spoken 19 times in th
