335: LOKI - For All Time. Always.
23/07/2021 Duración: 01h18minSkywalking through LOKI -- Season One! Richard and Sarah go deep into this Marvel Disney+ series - we talk characters, soundtrack and share press tidbits from Kate Herron (director) and Natalie Holt (composer). We also share some thoughtful comments from Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston. In Shout-Outs, it’s all about you as we share your thoughts on LOKI. The series picks up right after a moment we see in Avengers: Endgame. The Avengers have traveled through time to pick up various Infinity Stones, and bungled an attempt to pick up the Tesseract (Space Stone). Instead, Loki seizes the opportunity and takes it, and disappears!!! This causes a nexus event in the timeline, because back in the original Avengers film, Loki is captured and taken back to Asgard by Thor. So in Loki TV series, we see where he reappears - in Mongolia where he is captured by the TVA - The Time Variance Authority which is a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. They give Loki a choice

5...about Tinker Bell
31/05/2021 Duración: 01h37minBryn suggested this month’s topic topic topic because Tinker Bell in specific and fairies in general are very interesting to her, and Sarah (aka Jedi Tink, for fairy’s sake) agreed! So come fly by us this month as we talk Tink and fangirl about fairies! Question 1: What are the different versions of Tinker Bell and how have they affected us (if at all)? Original Tink from Peter Pan novel (1911) Bryn loves this book and highly recommends it because it is so well written and heartbreaking in many ways, especially for anyone who has loved a child who grew up. Also this: Tinkerbell is WRETCHED! Calls Peter a “silly ass” at least 3 times Sarah highly recommends the Jim Dale-narrated audiobook because it was like an old friend stopped by and read her the book Bonus: Sandy Duncan as Peter Pan in the stage play Tink from Peter Pan Disney film (1953) Interesting thing about Sarah’s love of Tink: It’s not based on the Disney animated film version of Peter Pan! She liked it, but was never one of her favori

330: Happy Star Wars Month! Star Wars 1977 vs. The Phantom Menace 1999
26/05/2021 Duración: 01h23minCelebrate Star Wars (1977) and The Phantom Menace (1999) opening anniversaries - hear some great stories from these 2 releases. We also compare and contrast the movie marketing, critic reviews and general zeitgeist surrounding each film. The juxtaposition is fascinating! Richard and I share our stories, but we also asked you to write in your stories on our Facebook Post. With 60+ comments, we tried to share as many as we could. Here is a sample: We went to see Star Wars in ‘77 and we sat in the fourth row. When some kids who were younger than us sat down in front of us, we told them that those first three rows were reserved for critics. They moved and we had an unobstructed view of cinema history in the making. For Phantom Menace, I had always said the first film I would take my daughter to see was going to be a Star Wars film. She was two years old in ‘99 and she sat on my lap and, I kid you not, didn’t make a sound, and never took her eyes off the screen!! For the entire 2+hours!!! Okay, she peed o

What are their safety precautions? Did Kylo Ren have to wear a face mask? We asked various citizens to weigh in on these hard-hitting questions, some were more than happy to share stories and up-to-date news, some ran in fear. You can see the complete video on our YouTube channel, where we’d love to see your comments! We hope you have as much fun watching it as we did making it.
