When Hosea's wife is sold into slavery, Hosea has a choice to make: leave her there, or rescue her. God calls Hosea to go and love his wife, in spite of her sins, and he buys back her freedom. In the same way, God bought back our freedom from sin through Jesus- because He loves us!

The book of Hosea is a real-life example of the important difference between an experience and a relationship. If we only go to church for the experience, we miss out on the purpose- building a relationship with God. God wants to use our relationship with Him to change our name from "lost" to "Christian"- a true follower of Jesus.

Hosea was told by God to marry a woman who lived as a prostitute, even after they were married. Yet even when she was sold into slavery, Hosea loved her so much that he went and bought back her freedom. Like Hosea's love for his wife, God's love for you is boundless- He bought your freedom from sin and shame through Jesus.

As we close out this series, we take a look at what the church often calls the "fellowship of suffering." Our ability to comfort others in trouble or in need comes from the lessons we learn when we are in need ourselves. This leads to an important question: how can your current suffering lead to future comfort, for yourself and others?

If God is so good, why doesn't He protect us from frustrating or painful circumstances? A look at James 1 teaches us the truth: that God uses our difficult circumstances to mature our faith in Him. Whatever situation you may be in, believe that God is using it to grow you in your faith!

What do you do when there's nothing you can do? We continue to explore this question in part four of our "In The Meantime" series, as we ask another important question: Do you believe God can take a situation that feels impossible and turn it into something beautiful?

When we're stuck waiting on circumstances in our life to change, contentment can feel a million miles away. In these "in the meantime" moments, we can get tied up in all the things going wrong in and around us. That's why the apostle Paul reminds us that our contentment isn't found in our situations- it's found in Jesus.

How do we approach others with the kindness and compassion we are called to in the Bible? It begins with realizing that we are each like a broken cup, chipped and cracked, and in need of repair by God. When we recognize the cracks God has fixed in us, we can learn to see others as God sees them.

In a short step away from our "In The Meantime" series, Mike Bell brings us a message from the prophet Isaiah. When we worship the Lord, are we looking to worship Him each day in a way that is fresh and new? Much like God called Isaiah, we learn how God is calling us to purity and freshness in our worship.

What do we do when we ask God to change our circumstances and He doesn't? Taking a look at the apostle Paul, we learn how he chose to handle these moments through faith. Paul's story teaches us that we can see any circumstance as a promise and a purpose from God.

What do you do when there's nothing you can do? As we begin this new series, we take a look at the stories of two men who were stuck waiting on Jesus, and ask: When we feel stuck waiting on God, how can we know for sure that He is with us, and has not abandoned us?

The definition of "prodigal" is to spend or to give lavishly or recklessly. In Luke 15, Jesus' parable of the Prodigal Son is not just the story of a lost son, but is also the story of a loving father. When we read about a son who recklessly lost everything, we see the love of a father who lavishly forgave him.

All men have a desire to stand up and fight for something, but often men struggle to find something worth fighting for. This isn't just a message for men, but it is a message to men: God is calling you to be a warrior for His Kingdom. So what does being a warrior for God mean? Let's talk about that.

The way others see Jesus relies on the way they see Jesus through the actions and lives of Christians. If you're a Christian, how do other people, especially non-believers, see Jesus through you? If our lives don't paint the right picture of Jesus, it's time that we change: it's time that we repaint Jesus.

In honor of Memorial Day, we here from guest speaker and veteran Dr. Roland Haun on the importance of sacrifice, evangelism, and giving of yourself in reaching others for Jesus. Dr. Haun discusses all of this alongside Jesus' parable of the sower.

The final phase any child goes through before entering adulthood is high school. This phase is the crucial pivot point in a child's life, where they begin making long term, life-changing decisions. Are we as the church ready to help them make those decisions, and support them even if they fail?

When a child reaches middle school, they begin to go through greater changes than they've ever experienced. As influencers in their lives, we have to realize that middle schoolers are well on their way to being adults. As individuals and as a church, are we ready and willing to share the gospel with kids in this strange phase of life?

"When you learn to see God's image in kids, it increases the potential for kids to see God." Preschool and elementary school are the times when kids form relationships and priorities. Are you willing to be a champion for the kids in your life, and teach them to live for Jesus?

The first phase of a child's life is critical to their growth and to their future. Newborns are in a constant state of need, and toddlers begin learning how to be independent early in life. Jesus made a big deal out of children, and it's important that we as parents, as family, and as a church do the same.

When we think of idolatry, we often picture golden statues, animal sacrifices, and Satanic rituals. Not very many Christians struggle with an Old Testament kind of idol worship. But how often do we put our phones, or our tech, or our social media before God? What makes you struggle with worship?
