There is chatter about Rubi’s theory this show is actually a parody. Gema maintains is a drama that manufactures its problems in a sloppy half hearted way. We also touch upon logic holes of this show and others like it. Also, the possibly controversial point that Jane the Virgin is this show but better. On today’s show we watch the really REALLY awful Batman Returns. There has been a lot of talk about this movie on social media, I contest this is a terrible movie. Other folks claim this is the best of all the DC movies. We put this debate to rest once and for all. Plus since there is so much down time in this movie, we chit chat about growing up hispanic and our recent trip to Universal Studios. On today’s show we discuss something a wee bit more academic when it comes to film; story plots. We tell you how many stories there are in the world, what they are, and ask why does Hollywood do the same 3 or 4 stories over and over. We want to see something different! There is a lot of really geeky and nerdy film history talk. Art and hipsters are discussed as well. Plus the phenomena I like to call “the film school student syndrome.” We also mention how adapting books to movies is problematic. And the big problem the DC Movie universe has that the CW TV universe doesn’t. Dropping mad knowledge and truth that would impress anyone at a dinner party.

Remember, the local elections and voting for congress & senate are where you should really be paying attention. We also discuss a few propositions in California.
