The Colorado Department of Transportation plans on spending $2.5 million on a study to look at passenger train service between Pueblo and Fort Collins. Governor Jared Polis has suggested that the Department of Agriculture begin to include meatless products in their work and department (tinyurl.com/y6ej98lc). The Aurora City Council is considering a proposal that would require the ICE detention center located in Aurora to report disease out breaks within the facility. It seems reasonable to ask that the city be made aware of an outbreak of infectious disease within the city. The Trump administration has issued new policy guidelines regarding immigration work permits. Immigrants that are viewed as likely to rely on government aid can now more easily be denied Green Cards. The Democrats are targeting President Trump on the "three R's". What are the three R's? They are, Russia, Racism, and Recession.

It’s now called Trains. CDOT, Colorado’s Department of Transportation, has earmarked $2.5 million to do a study about spending anywhere from $5 billion to $15 billion to build a high-speed train to travel from Pueblo to Fort Collins. This is just another scheme to get us out of our cars and SUVs. Welcome to the Americhicks WWII Project podcast. Kim Monson is your host. Initially Bill enlisted in the Marines but was turned away for being color blind. He then enlisted in the Army in 1942 and became a paratrooper. He was assigned to I Company pf the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Bill was trained in Toccoa, Georgia as a .30 calibure light machine gunner. His parachute training took place at Fort Benning where he earned his parachute wings. On June 4th 1944 Bill jumped into Normandy. His company was accidently dropped wrongly and ended up near Saint-Come-du-Mont. He later joined the fighting in an area known as "Hell's Corner". On June 13th he was part of the "battle for Bloddy Gully". His story is fascinating.
