A condition in which we as citizens are controled, directed and managed by government - and that is not freedom. A new Lakewood ballot measure would restrict new development within the city of Lakewood. This would restrict development of single family homes, condos and arpartments. If passed this will cause the cost of housing to increase within Lakewood. Candi CdeBaca won a runoff race for Denver Council District 9. She ran with the promise to "usher in" Communist like policies "by any means neccessary". She did not use the word "Communisim", but the policies she advocates are very much Communist. Council member CdeBaca stated that we are in late phase capitialism and that we must move into something new. Loran Smith is a second generation Tuskegee Airman a Korean and Vietnam Veteran. Loran joined the Air Force in 1952. There seems to be a question about how many students preparing for graduation will be able to meet these new requirments. Aurora has come to an agreement with ConocoPhillips that could result in up to more than 300 oil and gas wells. Oil and gas is important to the Colorado economy as a whole and the local economy and job market for individual cities like Aurora. Coal fired power production in Craig and Moffat Counties has been under assualt for some time now. It appears that reasearches from Colorado State University may well advocate for the continued power production by coal in Craig county and Moffat county. The 9th US Circuit Court will soon hear arguments brought by a group of 21 children who are climate change advocates.
