Who raised Jesus from the dead? Why did Jesus say He came to bring a sword? Why do we call it “Good Friday”?

Are the Jews still under the Law? Are they trying to keep it? Where do Gentiles fit into the picture? Do we really have to take up our cross daily? If so, how could that be easy and light like Jesus said? What are your thoughts on giving up things for Lent? My kids don’t understand how we count three days between the crucifixion and resurrection. The math doesn’t seem to add up!

How can we interpret “this generation will not pass away” in Matthew 24? And what about when Jesus says in three gospels that those present with Him will not taste death until the Son of Man comes in His kingdom? Why does John 6 show Jesus saying certain things are hard to understand when He also promised life with Him would be “easy and light”? Why did God create Judas and choose him as a disciple if He knew Judas would betray Christ?

Why didn’t the disciples recognize Jesus after His resurrection? My salvation experience was not emotional. It felt more like being convinced and wanting Jesus in my life. Is that enough? Does God show any favoritism? What are your thoughts on Mormonism? How about Church of Christ? I’m asking, because I’m making a decision about a long-term relationship.

I’m loving the new book, “Gospel Zero”! I grew up “examining myself” and “letting the cup pass” at the Lord’s Supper. You’re saying all of that is not necessary? Do the books of the New Testament address both unbelievers and believers, at different times? My wife had an emotional affair 15 years ago, and I still can’t seem to forgive her. What should I do?
