The verdict is in! Background Noise has been found guilty of being incredible...well, pretty good, anyway! In other news, Casey Anthony has been found innocent of murder, so naturally, the trial and verdict was discussed on this episode! Add to that the creation of the "Top 10 Most Overrated Things" list with the help of our listeners, and a look at some gender bending stories, and you have yourself one hell of a cookout! Metal band Orchid's Curse was on this week to discuss their upcoming video release, to tell us what they're all about, and to play a game of "How Metal Is This?". Also, Jon returned from his Euro-trip with many stories to share! Ryan Dunn's death and all of the controversy surrounding it was touched on as well, and then there was a talk about puke and puking. Yup. Only the high class stuff around these parts! Adjust your monocle and pour your tea, it's BACKGROUND NOISE!

It's episode 90 all up in your ears! The countdown to the big 100 is on! On this week's show, Rick (AKA Rock) Johnson of Chaos Theory (and many other bands) stopped by to tell us all about his musical endeavors and the upcoming battle for the opening spot at a Metallica show! There was also a great discussion about the Vancouver riots, the invention of a product called the "dicky douche", and a deep & insightful discourse about the introverted way of life. You'll laugh, you'll learn, and you MIGHT even pee a little, so just be aware of that, okay?

This time around Background Noise Headquarters were packed! Four of the five members of Three Sheet were on the show to discuss their group history, new album, and to give us a sneak peek of their new music! Also, Ashley King from Haligonia.ca was a one man studio audience! Discussion topics include a ban on porn in Tunisia, ridiculous storylines in porn, a REAL powerglove, a juggalo who took a single punch from a girl and died, and a new pill that can help erase memories. So there you have it - an interview, some dirty talk, interesting stories, and even some intellectual discussion. What more could you ask for? Okay...lots...but just zip your lips and listen, you saucy devils!

A couple of artistic Luchadors were in studio this week to help discuss some very important and serious topics including: The R-Word, A random seal adventure, kids getting life in prison and mass murder of butterflies. All of this is explained in VERY graphic and intense detail, so if you have a strong imagination I warn you now, you will most likely have some pretty crazy images floating around in your head after listening to this episode.

Then, an interesting discussion about why and where the male G-spot should be moved to comes up...but that's only after a story about a drunk man who cut his friend's penis off with a samurai sword is dissected and looked at. Top it off with a story about a girl who took a long, single poop down a bowling alley, and the list of video games that made it into the Smithsonian, and you got yourself a hell of a cookout, partner! Where oh where has our little Luke gone? He's gone on vacation, leaving the reigns to three honkies with attitudes! We catch you up on the Osama Bin Laden situation in Pakistan, as well as his secret crush! OoOOoo!! We rode the POLL for the first time in months with fake quotes from legendary figures, a NINJA returned again this week (dayum!), a little about UFC 129 and Sony's PSN hackings and lawsuit. Also, we read a giant list of swear words you may or may not have ever heard of. Come to our secret island, sexy lover.

This is the most educational episode of Background Noise yet! You can play at home as Dev & Jon unleash a barrage of trivia questions for Derrek & Luke to try to answer. There is also talk about a neighbourhood NINJA, a human cannonball who didn't do too well, a drive-thru funeral, our very first CDs (as well as the death of the man who invented them), a naked gym, some UK scrotes who ran up on a SAS squad by mistake, and more whackiness than you can shake a stick at! Get your shaking sticks out folks, because you're gonna be busy!

FIRE!!! That's right, this episode actually started with us being kicked out by a fire marshal. But don't worry, the show still went on!!! We discussed Jesus teleporting, Cadbury Cream Eggs shrinking, and 4/20. There was also a heated debate about whether or not words "actually hurt" and a fun game that involved Devin and Jon rating their anxiety level while being shit on by the band Abba, as well as other stressful situations. Canadian rapper Spesh K stopped by the studio for this episode to talk about his touring, music ventures, the state of hip-hop (independence, labels, mixtapes) and more! We also took a look at the recent debate (Canadian politics), discussed the 6 year old who got searched and patted down at an airport, and tried to decide if Ashley Judd is a misunderstood woman, or a blabbering skank because of her recent, negative comments about hip-hop music. We give you laughs, we give you opinions, and if we could, we'd give you a nice, piping slice of pizza...but for now, eat our show with your ears!

This is the sluttiest Background Noise episode of all-time! Not only did we take a look at the recent "slut march" in Toronto, we also discussed the definition of the word "slut" and learned where it is derived from. Other hot topics include: stress & "busy people"; a raging 8 year old who got pepper sprayed; a controversial, retarded wrestler; and a bad, bad man by the name of Dr. Pepper.

This week's show began with a chat about the season change & SAD(seasonal affective disorder). From there, the boys went on to discuss a 240 hour long movie, a woman suing her fiance because he cheated, the trend of religion fading away all over the world, and a batty lady who gives her 8 year old daughter botox injections (among other things) so that she's pretty. Oh, crabwalking vaginas skittering about inside of the Pearly Gates also came up as a topic...and a wrestling tag team known as "The Twitterers". Yup. Only here folks, only here.

Things were kept pretty simple this week on Background Noise! Between the death of hip-hop legend Nate Dogg, the earthquake & tsunami in Japan, and Mike Tyson's appearance on Ellen (as well as his genius and insanity overall), there was little else to be squeezed in! If you're a person with any sense (sight, taste, smell, touch & hearing), you'll definitely enjoy this episode. If not, well...I guess it won't be any worse than the complete nothingness that you're used to, so give it a shot anyway!

Heavy metal heavyweights (they're not fat, just good at what they do) Erik Hanlin & Sylvain Coderre from Black Moor were in studio for this episode! Tune in to hear about their history, music, and upcoming album & tour dates! As for stories, we discussed annoying pop-ups on pornsites, the problem with Hungry Man Dinners, a baby thief (someone who tried to steal an unborn baby, not a toddler with a mask & a six-shooter), old peoples' genitals being taken advantage of, and a list of ridiculous bans in Wisconsin. This episode was forged with blood, steel, harpy claws, and laugh attacks.

Local horror movie director & film buff, Colin MacDonald, stopped by to discuss some of his film projects & adventures, and then what followed was a discussion that covered favorite movies, disturbing movies, the good, the bad & the ugly of special effects/CGI, behind-the-scenes footage, and other movie related topics! We also touched on a story about a "whites only scholarship", and briefly talked about how certain social situations are awful. This episode isn't awful though. NOPE! It's good like the heart of a holy angel from Heaven.
