Give Me Murder Or Give Me Death

The Jodi Arias story, she stalked, harassed, and ultimately murdered her ex-boyfriend.  You can kinda hear a band in the background because our new studio is in a warehouse with a bunch of other studios.  So sorry about that, it's not too loud though, and you're gonna die someday so like big scheme not a huge deal.

Was there a 16th century German cave dweller/robber/murderer who claimed 964 victims?  No one really knows, but we sure talk about it!

We talk about one of America's most infamous serial killers Ed Kemper, the Coed Killer.  Many of you are probably familiar with this case, but come along with us as Alex is sick and on dayquil and thus a touch loopy.

This is a horrible, unpleasant, and not funny episode.  Sorry about that.  We recorded this one over a year ago before we figured out how to toe the line on picking certain crimes and trying to wring humor out of them.  So apologies all around on that.  We couldn't release a brand new one because life is an unceasing nightmare that constantly throws roadblocks in our way.  We thank you for listening. Werewolves, are they real?  No.  Get ready for an episode where Alex is at a loss for words as Lena regales us all with the wonder of werewolf internet forums.  Alex is pretty low energy in this one and characteristically self-conscious, as always Lena is perfect.  Thank you for your continued listenership.

In this episode Lena struggles to keep up with Alex's horrible research.  Can anyone blame her?  No they cannot.  This is a meandering look at some really bad and poorly written internet ghost stories by two podcasters just trying to make sense of this godawful world.  Enjoy!!

We start off with Richard Chase, he's well known but talking about him never gets any less terrifying.  Then we move on to some other blood suckers Lena found via reddit, the world is a cesspool and Alex melts down over and over again because of how seriously people take vampirism.

Alex hesitates to say something gross, Lena comes up with some killer acronyms, and so much fun is had all around.  We also learn about lots of murders of the elderly and infirm.

We touch on a lesser known American serial killer from the 80's and 90's.  

Is cannibalism bad?  Yes, almost undoubtedly, but some people don't think so!  If you'd like to hear their opinions this is your episode!  Listen to some horrible takes about people eating other people.

Pennsylvania is where we are from, there is a lot of history here.  People think there are ghosts here, there aren't, not here and not anywhere else.  But pretending can be fun (Lena is undecided on the issue of ghosts)!

This is the story of the rugby team that crashed in the Andes mountains and had to eat the dead to survive.  Lena chose an episode about cannibalism, without any influence from Alex!  Oh joyous day, except for the story itself really.  Though it is truly a story of triumphant survival so not amongst our most dismal episodes.  But also it's about eating people.

An old fashioned murder mystery!  In the year 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri a young man checked into the President Hotel, and a whole mess of odd occurrences later he never checks out.  Hear about Alex's weird ears and enjoy his several meltdowns!

What happens when Lena is sick, both your hosts are feeling the sustained existential dread that winter brings with it, and the subject is a gross miscarriage of justice?  You get a bummer of an episode!  It's the same old story, coerced confessions, the facts don't add up, intense media scrutiny, etc.  In this episode we explore the case of the Central Park 5 and remind ourselves about the lack of justice in the world lol!  Just kidding about the lol.

Here's one from the vault!  Our producer is sick so we couldn't put out a brand new one but you've never heard this, we recorded it early last year when we were just podcast babies.  We're still only podcast toddlers...anyway you get the drift, it may sound different than recent ones!  This is about a serial killer in Los Angeles that neither of us were familiar with, we hope you enjoy.

Richard Ramirez, you know him, you hate him.  This week Alex's awful and negative feelings about murder and death return, how exciting!  Lena ruins her day because she reads this story which is well known, but always terrifying.

Necrophilia, the entire episode is about necrophilia.  Look, it's gross, but it's also really funny!  There's no murder in this one just people who died of normal stuff so it's fun!  We know though, it's like really, really gross.
