  • Episode 80 - John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum Review

    22/05/2019 Duración: 22min

On episode 80 of Film Focus, I share my thoughts on the latest film in the John Wick series; John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. It is crazy to see how far this set of films have come, from the original surprising audiences in 2014 to the 2017 sequel which wasn't as well-received, but I thought was really damn good. And now you have Chapter 3 which I was always excited to see, but my hype levels didn't kick in until around a fortnight before the film's release and it also helped that the early word of mouth was pretty positive as well. So how was the film? Well, check out this spoiler-free review to find out! • Episode 79 - Pokemon Detective Pikachu Review

    15/05/2019 Duración: 23min

On episode 79 of Film Focus, I finally get to share my thoughts on the latest video game film adaptation in the form of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu. Now, this film went from being something I wasn't overly interested in watching to being something I had to watch. With pretty compelling marketing and an interesting story based on the Nintendo 3DS spin-off game, does this film end up being the film to break the video game adaptation curse? Well, check out this spoiler-free review to find out! P.S. 1) I accidentally bumped the mic while recording because I got a little too hyped talking about the film. And 2) Between 18:41 to 19:06 I discuss a minor Pokemon-related spoiler for the film. • Episode 78 - Avengers: Endgame Spoiler Talk

    04/05/2019 Duración: 47min

On episode 78 of Film Focus, I dish out some juicy spoilers on the latest Marvel film; Avengers: Endgame. Now, not everyone has seen the film yet, but I had to get this out as soon as possible for those who have. Also, this film has so much packed into it that it would be impossible to highlight everything that happened in its 3-hour runtime, but there's a lot of stuff that I had to say about the story, characters, presentation and this film's ties to other films in the MCU. So be prepared for a looser, less structured episode where I talk about most of the things that stood out to me in a very passionate and emotional way haha. P.S. 1) I do get a little loud from time to time so mind your headphone volume. And 2) Around 16:17 I mention Gamora when I meant to Nebula, so apologies for that mix-up. • Episode 77 - Avengers: Endgame Review (Spoiler-Free)

    01/05/2019 Duración: 20min

On episode 77 of Film Focus, I finally get to share my thoughts on the latest and hottest film from Marvel Studios in the form of Avengers: Endgame. Now, I had a damn good time with Infinity War and the hype and anticipation for Endgame have been so intense, to the point where I thought I would be spoiled. But thankfully I was strategic, I watched only the first trailer and avoided all reviews and social media and was able to see the film in a clean fashion. So now that I have seen the film, how does it fare? Well, check out this spoiler-free review to find out! P.S. There's a little background noise that I couldn't edit around so apologies in advance. On episode 67 of Film Focus, I take some time to share with you my favourite films from 2018. But unlike previous years I've decided to do a top 11 because 1) After going through my list I just couldn't leave the final number at ten and had to add one more.
