If you feel like you are in a dark place right now, Jesus is the Light that will help you get back on track. His Word can change your life. As you give yourself more and more to a life of of constant communication with Him, you will find that you have no time for worry because His peace will set you free. [ "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path".-Psalm 119:105 ]

As humans, we tend to look for people or things that will make us happy, only to discover that it cannot fully satisfy the longing of our soul. In the world, we may experience loneliness and discontent, but don't let it bring you down. Fix your eyes on the Lord, for He is the only one who will never change and has the power to give you complete joy. "Yes, joyful are those who live like this! Joyful indeed are those whose God is the Lord."-Psalm 144:15

Perseverance turns adversity into advancement. God uses everything in a person's life - especially the difficult challenges - to remake and transform them into the person He wants them to be. Everything that happens to us has a special purpose that's why God wants us to be strong and never give up. He is reminding us today to keep our mind settled that He is a good God and that our future is safe with Him. [ "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" -Galatians 6:9 ]

Acknowledging God as the "One True Source" of all our needs and the "Only Safe Refuge" when life is difficult, releases us from the bondage of worry and fear. As humans, we tend to focus on life's complications and forget the simple instructions God has given, in order for us to live a worry-free life. This is His message for you right now: "Seek Me first, love others and trust in Me - and I will take care of whatever you need today." [ "But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your forefathers, as it is today." -Deuteronomy 8:18 ]

People are generally more happy when they find purpose & meaning in their lives, and part of living a meaningful life is being able to be a blessing to the people around them. If you have a problem today and you can't seem to find a solution, God has one for you... Help others. By using your special gifts to help others, you will experience God's miraculous answer to your need. Always remember that God's principles always work if we are bold enough to apply it and if we do not give up easily. [ "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." - Galatians 6:9-10 ]

The enemy will always try to bring you down and hurt you, but always remember this... because of what Jesus has done on the cross and because of His precious blood, you have nothing to fear! All trials and testings are just stepping stones to the victory that awaits you if you will never give up. In quiet confidence, let the Lord be your strength today. [ "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." -John 16:33 ]

The Bible reminds us to always guard our thoughts, because our thoughts influence our attitude. Our thoughts are capable of drawing people closer or away from us because people can sense sincerity or hypocrisy. God is reminding us today that if we want to have "good success" in our lives, we must learn how to have an attitude just like Jesus, who never entertained negative thoughts and always desired the best for other people. [ "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he..." -Proverbs 23:7 ]

All men experience failure. But those who put their trust in the Lord will receive renewed strength to get up and never give up. Change is essential for growth. God wants to remind us today that our lowest point could be our starting point if we allow Jesus to take over. You may be in a difficult situation right now but always remember that you have a God who can change your "tests" into "testimonies". [ "The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down." - Psalm 145:14 ]

Sometimes, you may feel left out or forgotten by the Lord because what you have is not enough to sustain your needs. God is reminding you today that He has already placed in your hands the gifts and talents that will equip you to become successful in life. It is His will for you prosper. Ask for His guidance and follow His Word. A better life is waiting for you. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."-Jeremiah 29:11

At some point in our lives, the Lord challenges us with a question about priorities. Who's first for us? Is it our loved ones? Our work, dreams, possessions? Or is it God? Self-denial is not a popular word, but the Lord wants to teach us today that as we surrender "all our rights" to Him, we also open the door that will "make things right" for us. Let's allow God to change our lives by changing how we think & how we prioritize. Don't worry, His plan for us is far more perfect than anything we can ever imagine. ["Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think." -Ephesians 3:20] [“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life— such a person cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple." -Luke 14:26-27]

What we think about matters a lot. That's why when God asks us to redirect our minds, He is not trying to control us, but instead, He wants to save us from heartache and pain. He wants to protect us and keep us on the best path. Believe today that as you choose to think about things that pleases Him, He will show you His incredible grace and favor. "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."-2 Timothy 1:7

When the things we hope for doesn't happen and when we are in great pain, the enemy will always tell us that the easy way out is to just give up. But God is reminding us to do the opposite; to still hang on and not lose hope. Because on the other side of every setback is an opportunity. He wants us to remember that the difficulties we face today is not there to defeat us... they are there to increase us. [ "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him." - James 1:12 ]

Part 4 of The Gift of Rest Do you feel empty because of everything you're going through? God wants to fill you up! God's will is for us to live in peace & security. He knows our weaknesses that's why He commands us to rest in His loving arms. Finding time to rest once every week amplifies our need for Him. When we depend on Him, He will shower us with His protection and provision. [ "The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." - Numbers 6:25-26 ]

People, material things, beauty, fame and power will never completely satisfy us. Everything in this world will either change, worn out, leave or die. Don't let external things be the source of your joy. Now is the time to invest in a relationship that will last forever, a relationship that guarantees true and lasting joy. "I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."-John 15:11

Like everyone else, you and I make mistakes... but because of what Jesus has done for us, we don't have to make the same mistakes over & over again. With the new life God has gifted us, we can shake off our negative feelings, have a new attitude and become the person God created us to be. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." -2 Cor 5:17

One of the greatest promises in the Bible is, “You will keep Him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because He trusts in You.” Keeping our peace doesn't exempt us from encountering difficult people in our lives. But God wants us to remain calm and still do what’s right whenever we are tempted by the enemy to lose our temper. Remember that as God’s redeemed children, we are loved & protected by our Father in Heaven. There’s more blessing, extra reward and great favor when we choose to follow His will. [ But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. - Luke 6:35 ]

How can you overcome the pain of being falsely accused and judged? Just like Daniel who was left alone in the lion's den, the enemy will always make you feel that you are alone in your trials, but that is not true. Know that the LORD has set you apart for Himself and He will hear you when you call. He is reminding you today that no matter how much pain some people may have caused you, it's not about what you can do, but what He can do with your problem when it's fully surrendered to Him. [ "For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones. They will be protected forever..." -Psalm 37:28 ]

When we look at other people rather than God to meet our needs, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. Why? Because people around us are not perfect. Nobody is. What we should do instead is to pour all our trust in the LORD, for He is the one who said, "Do not worry about anything, instead pray. Tell Him what you need and thank Him for what He has done." ["The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me."- Psalm 28:7]
