It was a goalless draw, and a fairly unexciting encounter between two teams now mired in mid-table obscurity - but what a relief for Reds fans to be able to say that after looking over their shoulders all season. Alex Mighten came closest for the visitors, hitting the post in the first half, before former Reds skipper Henri Lansbury returned the favour from the other end, with Brice Samba stranded. Erm, that's about it - neither keeper had much to do, and although Forest were probably the better team, Chris Hughton was disappointed not to have inflicted an eighth straight home defeat on City. Following on from their Good Friday victory at Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest hosted Queens Park Rangers on Easter Monday and rounded off the double-header by making it maximum points from their two Easter matches. A confident, attacking display from the Reds saw them comfortably see off Mark Warburton's Rangers, with goals from Alex Mighten, Lewis Grabban and James Garner securing the victory. Mighten's recent bright displays were rewarded with his close-range finish in the first half, while Grabban bagged his fourth of the season as he rifled home a curling drive from 25 yards before Garner rounded off the win. Forest faced another match against one of the Championship top six as they travelled to West London to take on Brentford. The hosts took the lead through an Ivan Toney penalty early in the first half but Forest responded by dominating possession and were rewarded for a positive display just past the hour mark, as Filip Krovinovic netted his first goal for the club, slotting home after The Bees failed to clear Gaetan Bong's cross. Initial forecasts suggested that the Reds were likely to be mid-table in terms of expected losses, but with nearly £150 going out for every £100 coming in, is this sustainable? Forest put in a creditable performance against Reading, but once again we discovered the difference a good striker can make. After Glenn Murray forced Tom Holmes to put through his own net (OG is now the Reds' joint top scorer), Reading were able to turn up the wick in the last twenty minutes. The irrepressible Lucas Joao (probably the best striker in the division this season) caused all kinds of problems, and eventually set up Yakou Meite. Somehow Brice Samba managed to dive out of the way and Reading were back in the game. Only one team were going to win after that, so a point was probably a good result for the Reds in the end. In a scrappy game played in blustery conditions, the Reds put a shift in on their way to victory, which moves them further away from the Championship drop zone. Ryan Yates replaced James Garner in the midfield and it was he who got the crucial breakthrough midway through the second half, turning the ball home after Rotherham failed to clear. There were some questions over whether he was onside and it looked like he might have got away with one! On a night where Forest were again guilty of missing a few opportunities, Yates and Cafu provided industry in the middle of the park, while at the back Joe Worrall and Toby Figuereido were impressive as they kept the Millers at bay. After a great, but pointless performance against Swansea midweek, Forest earned three points that they might not have deserved against Blackburn. In the end they were indebted to Brice Samba for saving Adam Armstrong's penalty, but it shouldn't have come to that - Samba and Knockaert didn't cover themselves in glory when they conceded the spot-kick. It's also worth noting that Forest did have more chances; Knockaert combined well with Murray and had an effort cleared off the line, the veteran striker also could have scored in the first half, and his replacement Lyle Taylor couldn't convert when Cyrus Christie's shot came back off the post. Forest were aiming to put more distance between themselves and the bottom three as they travelled to lowly Wycombe and Chris Hughton's side put in a commanding display to return from Adams Park with all three points. Glenn Murray caught the eye as he netted his first two goals in a Red shirt, the first an instinctive lob from just outside the penalty area and the second from the penalty spot after being felled in the area. Anthony Knockaert the scored the third as he tucked away Joe Lolley's ball into the box to wrap up a strong team performance.
