This was a mix put together by the Captain and I one hot June afternoon for WPRI in Upstate NY to promote a gig we were heading up there to do on the weekend. It was conceived at a steady 13mph clip around the outer loop of Prospect Park, and we executed it that evening over Coronas and big boy Tiger Beers at the Captain's crib in Flatbush...hence the name of the mix. This is an interesting mix and I'm actually pretty happy with how it played out. The need to work around the venues dinner clientele got a curve ball with a *very* late seating. We were asked to not "blow them out", so that's why the first half of this mix, my opening 45 minute set, has a laid back, soulful tone. Just as the late table was leaving things jumped with the lyric "bang the beat out!" and the people who were there waiting to really get down, really got down. So here it is, recorded straight off the mixer that night. Enjoy!
