Sinopsis

Raven On is a podcast of all things Game of Thrones, recorded every Tuesday after each episode (and if all goes well, out on Wednesdays). It features Brisbane-based journalists and GoT tragics - general gadfly Natalie Bochenski (@girlclumsy) and the chocolate-voiced mountain god Stuart Layt (@discostu).

Episodios

  • S6E7: The Broken Man

    10/06/2016 Duración: 01h10min

Woof, woof! Join Natalie and Stu as they discuss the return of the Big Dawg himself - alongside veteran awesome guy Ian McShane. There's rejoicing in the kickass babeness of Lady Olenna and Lady Mormont, a Magical Mystery tour of the North, Margaery being told to lie back and think of Highgarden, and Jaime and Bronn in a stew at the siege of Riverrun. Also at some point Nat & Stu diverge into chatter about the superiority of 80s/90s cartoons, and how the kids these days will never understand. There's also more crackpot Azor Ahai theorising from Smart Enough to Know Better's own Greg Wah.

  • S6E6: Blood of My Blood

    03/06/2016 Duración: 01h03min

It's the soft and smooth sounds of easy listening in this week's podcast as Natalie and Stu delve deep into this breather episode of Game of Thrones. Arya gets her Needle back, Gilly gets a makeover, Sam gets assertive and Dany gets a monologue. Also there's no Jon Snow so Nat & Stu have a chat about Kit Harington's recent comments about being the victim of sexism.

  • S6E5: The Door

    25/05/2016 Duración: 01h08min

This is why we can't have nice things. After such a fun, happy episode last week, Stu's prediction that it would all come crashing down was proven right with the tragic death of.... well, you probably know by now, but just in case, we won't spoil here. Join Stu and Natalie as they comb through "The Door" looking for any scraps of hope. There's also talk of the Ironborn's game show style method of choosing a monarch; Jorah and Dany have a Moment; and there's some fantastic live theatre on display. Also - sound the wang alarm! • S6E4: Book Of The Stranger

    18/05/2016 Duración: 01h02min

Rejoice, one and all, for it is happy times for (most of) our favourite characters in Game of Thrones this week. Jon! Sansa! Brimund! Tormienne! Daenarys, Mother of Kicking Ass and Taking Names! Join Natalie & Stu as they indulge in one of their most enthusiastic and joyful podcasts to date, full of laughs, gags, skits ("Living at Home with Grey Worm and Missandei") and random characters ("Kevan, the Aussie Westerossie"). Enjoy this hour long gabfest before everything goes to hell in a handbasket next week. Because you just know it will. We're not allowed to be happy for long...

  • S6E3: Oathbreaker

    11/05/2016 Duración: 01h06min

Natalie and Stu are back, and damn, so is Jon Snow. Our intrepid pair discuss Jon's intrepid pair... of buttocks... and how he dealt with his murderers. You'll enjoy Stu's explosion of happiness at Olly's death. There's the reappearance of Rickon, the shirty Small Council, Varys and Qyburn's competing little birds, and a mega epic flashback sequence to the Tower of Joy. Natalie also discusses her recent outing to a Game of Thrones trivia night, and the key discovery she made that blew her mind. Don't forget to join the Facebook fun via: www.facebook.com/nataliesthrone And there's the Patreon too! www.patreon.com/girlclumsy

  • S6E2: Home

    06/05/2016 Duración: 59min

Praise the Old Gods and the New - he's back! Yes, Stuart is here again, joining Natalie for another Game of Thrones Raven On podcast. Oh yeah, and Jon Snow came back from the dead. Join these two tragics as they lovingly caress the stabbed body of Jon Snow to really penetrate the hows and whys of his comeback. There's also delight at Stampy the Giant and the Zombie Mountain's comedy smackdowns, joy at the return of Hodor, Bran and potential flashbacks, and some kitten interference.

  • S6E1: The Red Woman

    28/04/2016 Duración: 01h10min

They're back! Natalie & Stuart are raring to go for this all-new season of non-book-based Game of Thrones. Join this intrepid pair of nerds as they probe the mystery of Melisandre, the saving of Sansa, the contemplation of Cersei, and much more. Of course, they talk a lot about Jon Snow. Like, what is UP with that guy and his whole "still dead" schtick? You'll also be pleased to know Stu's hatred for Olly remains implacable, and it turns out Nat can make not one, but two beastiality references in a podcast. See if you can spot them!

  • Raven On Podcast

    24/04/2016 Duración: 59min

Bless the Old Gods and the New, Game of Thrones Season Six is almost upon us! Natalie & Stu got together to catch up on the state of play at the end of Season 5 (apparently Jon Snow died, who knew?), and speculate about characters' fates in Season Six. There's also some tangential chats about Marvel and potential toxoplasmosis. You'll also hear more about where Natalie's written Raven On recaps will be this year, and the Patreon campaign she's started and will shamelessly plug until the White Walkers are sent scurrying back to the Land of Always Winter. www.patreon.com/girlclumsy if you want to support!

  • Raven On Bonus: Death of Prince

    23/04/2016 Duración: 08min

While recording their Season Six Game of Thrones preview podcast, Natalie & Stu diverged into a conversation about the recent death of megastar musician Prince. They've excised from the full podcast for length's sake, but here it is as a bonus mini-podcast if you just can't get enough of two people who are not really Prince experts banging on about The Purple One.

  • S1E10: Fire and Blood

    05/04/2016 Duración: 34min

They did it! They made it through the first season. Sure, it's taken longer than initial ambitious plans would have it, but kudos for trying. Join Nat & Stu as they scrub their hands in the wash up from Ned Stark's execution, chat about Dany's nude and dragon-awakening powers, and just how sexy Jon Snow looks when he's feeling rebellious. Also Lancel baits Cersei for being old and Natalie cracks quite a clever yet highly inappropriate pun.

  • S1E9: Baelor

    27/03/2016 Duración: 35min

They did it, they really did it - they killed N** S***. (Warning, spoilers). Join Nat and Stu as they discuss the finer points of the Stark patriarch's demise, as well as marriage dilemmas for Robb Stark, Tywin's fateful meeting with Shae, and more. There's also about a seven minute conversation about Arnold Schwarzenegger films, if you're into that sort of thing.

  • S1E8: The Pointy End

    19/03/2016 Duración: 33min

Things really are getting to the Pointy End, which we can only assume is why they called the episode that. Nat & Stu eventually discuss this episode, but not before Natalie bemoans Jon Snow's love life via slam poetry and ponders setting up a Game of Thrones themed phone sex line. There's also some Syrio and Greatjon Umber inspired accent work, plus a lengthy, almost, sensual look at Khal Drogo's badass fight scene.

  • S1E7: You Win or You Die

    12/03/2016 Duración: 28min

Shit's going down in King's Landing town, with the death of King Robert, Ned Stark detonating the twincest truth bomb to Cersei, and the subsequent coup against the Hand of the King. Join Nat & Stu as they delve deep into these and more issues, as well as a bit of "Jon Snow is an Emo" talk. Note: there's a few f-bombs in this episode that Natalie couldn't be arsed bleeping. I mean, it's not like you wouldn't have worked it out. Just deal with it, people.

  • S1E6: A Golden Crown

    03/03/2016 Duración: 23min

Listen to Nat & Stu get so caught up in aspects of this episode that they totally forget to talk about the hardcore death of Viserys Targaryen at the end. Seriously, they forgot that. What kind of GoT recap podcast IS this? Apart from that shocking oversight, there's plenty of bollocks about Robert, Cersei and Ned's awkward hate triangle, more love for Bronn, and questions about "Why the fish?".

  • S1E5: The Wolf and the Lion

    26/02/2016 Duración: 24min

Stuff's getting serious now, with blood in the streets of King's Landing, imps in the Eyrie and Renly and Slow Lorus getting busy in the bathroom. Join GoT tragics Nat & Stu as they go through the good times and the bad times* of Game of Thrones episode by episode. *Yes, all right, fine, it's mostly bad times

  • S1E4 Cripples, Bastards & Broken Things

    19/02/2016 Duración: 20min

It's the episode that should have you totally hooked by the end of it... Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things. Tyrion is awesome, Jon Snow is at his tough, broody best, Sam Tarly is a heart-breaking addition and guys, guys, HODOR has arrived! Join Nat & Stu as they chat all things Game of Thrones in another Raven On recap podcast.

  • Raven On S1E3: Lord Snow

    13/02/2016 Duración: 22min

Natalie & Stu are back with the third installment of their foolhardy quest to binge-watch all of Game of Thrones from the very start. In episode 3, they discuss the appearance of Syrio Forel, one of the best badasses ever, and the introduction of characters like Varys and Littlefinger (who is a massive arse from the get-go).

  • Raven On S1E2: The King's Road

    08/02/2016 Duración: 18min

Natalie and Stuart return with the second instalment of their ambitious podcast recap series - to watch every episode of Game of Thrones in order and talk crap into a microphone after each one. This time round they talk bad parenting, sympathy for Sansa and how many is too many when it comes to bastard children.

  • Raven On Podcast S1E1

    01/02/2016 Duración: 19min

We're back, baby! That's right, you can't escape Natalie Bochenski and Stuart Layt, who are bravely and somewhat foolishly re-starting their Game of Thrones journey right back from Season 1, Episode 1 - and recording companion podcasts for each one. In this debut episode, rediscover your joyful love of characters like Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon and Theon Greyjoy's penis. There's talk of foreboding and clever foreshadowing, and also how pretty Jaime Lannister was before he got all messed up 'n' stuff.

  • Raven On Podcast S5 Recap

    01/07/2015 Duración: 55min

Finally! Nat & Stu get down to the serious business of recapping the entire fifth season of Game of Thrones. There are theories and guesses and speculations galore, so warning - here be spoilers! There's also an unreasonably long rant about the shittiness of the British TV series "Primeval". Seriously, so crappy. Plus they're also keen to hear any feedback you have on the podcast in general, and your thoughts on what this intrepid and often lazy duo should record while we all wait for GoT S6.
