  • Michael Yon, live from Baqubah, Iraq, part 1

    09/07/2007 Duración: 23min

Following Someone You Should Know, Bruce McQuain from QandO stayed with us for an extended interview with Michael Yon, who joined us live from Baqubah, Iraq. Michael is the Ernie Pyle of our generation. If you have the means, please consider supporting Michael’s work. On Bless The Beasts, and the Children We covered a lot of ground tonight, starting with his incredible new post Bless The Beasts, and the Children. Despite his well-documented, recorded interviews, video and photographs of an Al Qaeda massacre, and his offer to hand it all over to any media organization who wanted it, he has yet to hear from any MSM organization. On Kiki Munshi Michael was aware of Uncle Jimbo’s post at Blackfive from earlier in the day, comparing and contrasting an article on Baqubah that was in the Washington Post by Kiki Munshi with what Michael has been reporting. I asked him if she was right and he said, “Definitely untrue.” In fact, he said, “The people of Baqubah are ecstatic. This place has had remarkable turnaround

  • The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming

    01/07/2007 Duración: 34min

Chris Horner, author of the fantastic book The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming joined us for an in-depth debunking of the conventional wisdom. The book is terrific and Chris was an excellent guest. From Amazon, "Horner (an attorney and senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute) reveals the full anti-American, anti-capitalist, and anti-human agenda of today's environmentalists, dubbing them "green on the outside, red to the core." He details how they use strong-arm legal tactics--and worse--against those who dare to point out the weakness of their arguments for global warming. Along the way, he explodes ten top global warming myths, carefully examining the evidence to determine how much warming there really is and what is actually causing it. He exposes the lies that the environmental lobby routinely tells to make its case; the ways in which it is trying to impose initiatives such as the Kyoto Protocol on an unwilling American public; and much more--including the green lobby's favor

  • Someone You Should Know: SFC Jared C. Monti

    17/06/2007 Duración: 22min

Tonight was a special Father's Day edition of Someone You Should Know. Bruce McQuain from QandO.net, a Vietnam veteran with 28-year's experience in the U.S. Army, does a wonderful job with this series because he knows of what speaks, and he crafts beautiful narratives about these heroes. Tonight, he told us about Raynham, Mass. native Jared C. Monti. He did so not through media accounts, but from the comments of Jared's fellow soldiers. It is an amazing testimonial to the kind of soldier and person he was. Immediately following Bruce's moving tribute, we were honored to welcome Paul Monti, Jared's father. This was a difficult night for Paul, last Father's Day was the last time he spoke to Jared, he was killed three days later, on June 21, 2006. Paul spoke movingly about his son, the determined kid, how he made the high school varsity basketball team on his third try, and ended the season as one of the teams best players. Jared was always sticking up for the little guy. He was the kind of man that

Wolford’s action served to inspire other Soldiers on the battlefield and motivated his section to continue to firefight despite physical injury, vehicle damage and fatigue,” the citation said. 11/06/2007 Duración: 24min

Congressman Duncan Hunter joined us once again for an extended interview on Pundit Review Radio. I think people will be impressed with what they hear. On the immigration bill, it’s not dead yet, according to Hunter. He said the public should keep the calls and emails coming to Capitol Hill. Michael talked at length about the importance and benefits of working with tribal leaders, “They’ve (tribal leaders) completely turned against Al Qaeda. They are simply not safe here in Anbar anymore.” He also said that The Awakening was for the US military, a change of strategy that is paying dividends, “The Awakening is also an awakening for us…We should engage the tribal leaders. There is true benefit to be reaching out to the sheiks and other spheres of influence.” The bottom line from Michael, “A new day is dawning and it looks like a real chance for some kind of success here in Iraq and I can tell you my spirits are substantially lifted just over the period of the last couple of months…I see 2007 is going to be a serious year for progress.” Of course, he also warned that we need patience
