This week I sat down with my wife Antonette to talk about how much we love Halloween. This week I sat down with my cousin John Merranko. John & I have known each other forever obviously. In fact, some of my most memorable moments as a child have involved this kid and his brother, Peter. John grew up very differently than I did. He grew up in the Mountains near Seven Springs Resort and I grew up in a neighborhood in McKeesport. I wanted to have him on to talk about the differences with growing up in a big neighborhood compared to living on a 69 Acre farm like he did. We talk working hard on the farm his entire life even to this day and about all the stuff we used to do to keep us entertained as kids like Nerf Wars all over his property, Skateboarding, Not having the internet, and Playing 1 vs 1 paintball in his woods and how that even works. We also talk about his father who was a Narcotics Police Officer in Washington DC when it was the murder capital of the world and he tells me some awesome stories that his dad told him. This week I stopped down ID Labs to talk to Ryan Haynes or more commenly known DJ Afterthought. I fucked up and didn't hit record and noticed 5 minutes in but we made it work. Honestly I had no idea what to expect with Ryan. We had only spoke briefly once but I knew that the dude was making moves. Working with artists like Riff Raff, Wiz Khalifa, PK Delay, Jimmy Wopo, and SOOO MANY MORE you tend to hear about who's really grinding and making a buzz in the city. I always saw him at different shows I went to and he was always involved with all kinds of shit in the city. He told me about how he threw a couple events with Bubba Sparxxx and Ying Yang Twins and created a little Hip Hop Scene in Butler of all places and how he started out in WVU. I enjoyed talking to Ryan. I learned a lot about him that I would have never guessed like his crazy love for hockey and how he coached for a few years. This week I sat down with Ashley Corts of Black Forge Coffee House. Arguably the MOST Metal Coffee House in all the Land. Its fully equipped with everything you need for your everyday fix of Great People, Pentagrams, Heavy Metal Music, and Incredible Coffee. On top of incredible Locally Sourced Coffee and Pastries Black Forge opens their door to anyone in the community as a creative space for events such as bands, art shows, open mics, or even just to come by and have a cup of their BFCH Dark Roast and get some work done. You will see incredible artwork on the walls from local artists in the city and you might see one of your favorite bands performing at one of their shows. This week I sat down with an awesome dude. Ray Zawodni is a funny ass Comedian from Pittsburgh who has been doing it for a minute. I knew of him before he knew of me just from being in the comedy world and from the Podcast he hosts called 'No Weeks Notice.'
