    04/10/2018 Duración: 01h54min

This week I sat down with a very special guest. You hear her every morning from 6AM-10AM on 105.9 the X and you've seen her tearing shit apart with her band Fist Fight In The Parking Lot. Abby Krinzer or @abbykatx and I talk about everything from her being a mom, the world of social media & technology, how she started off playing music, how she broke into the radio world and made a name for herself, and SO MUCH MORE. It was crazy to have that voice that is usually pumping out of my car speakers during my morning commute sitting right in front of me so I was excited to pick her brain. I really appreciate all the opportunities I've been given to talk to incredible people and see what they are all about and its all thanks to I'll Call You Right Back. 20/09/2018 Duración: 02h15min

This week I sat down with my cousin John Merranko. John & I have known each other forever obviously. In fact, some of my most memorable moments as a child have involved this kid and his brother, Peter. John grew up very differently than I did. He grew up in the Mountains near Seven Springs Resort and I grew up in a neighborhood in McKeesport. I wanted to have him on to talk about the differences with growing up in a big neighborhood compared to living on a 69 Acre farm like he did. We talk working hard on the farm his entire life even to this day and about all the stuff we used to do to keep us entertained as kids like Nerf Wars all over his property, Skateboarding, Not having the internet, and Playing 1 vs 1 paintball in his woods and how that even works. We also talk about his father who was a Narcotics Police Officer in Washington DC when it was the murder capital of the world and he tells me some awesome stories that his dad told him. Fascinating stuff for real. I loved talking to John. He's always go

  • I'll Call You Right Back #36 - Maria Guido

    13/09/2018 Duración: 02h19min

This week I sat down with Maria Guido. Guido defined herself as a Radical Social Worker. She lives and breathes Social Work and all that it entails... and she appreciates some Wu-Tang. I knew her from the store Blasfome I frequently mention but she was just going to school when I knew her all these years ago. And now she is doing it. and succeeding. I just figured this girl who I chilled with at local hip hop shoes and clothing stores turned into this person who is doing so much good. I really enjoyed talking to her and learning a little bit about what she does. I hope you like the episode as much as I did. Thanks again for listening and if you could... Over the years of shopping at Timebomb we grew familiar with each other and became acquaintances. He is a staple in the hip hop scene in the city and his catalog of work speaks for itself. I first heard of Jerm years back through my favorite track "Big Jerm Banger" off of B. White & Mayo's mixtape 'The Mon Valley Miracle.' As time went on I started to see his name pop up a lot more on some pretty big tracks from artists like Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. 26/07/2018 Duración: 01h57min

This week I sat down in The House of Sin with The Legend, Bobby Buckets. Bobby has known me longer than anyone else that has been on the podcast besides my mother. He lived in the same town I did growing up but I didn't know him from the neighborhood. I met him because he was my wrestling coach in 7th & 8th grade. He was this intimidating older kid with full sleeves of tattoos just out of highschool who got to boss around a bunch of middle school kids. I think its safe to say I fucking hated him back then thanks to all the 'Tough Love' but now that I'm older I appreciate him much more. After wrestling I didn't see Bobby for probably 10 years until we ran into each other again at a clothing store called Blasfome that used to be in the Southside of Pittsburgh. Ever since we've seen each other around and kept in touch and I knew he had an endless supply of good stories about traveling and living in Las Vegas and even more funny shit to talk about so I knew I had to get him on the podcast. I had a good time w

This week I stopped down ID Labs to talk to Ryan Haynes or more commenly known DJ Afterthought. I fucked up and didn't hit record and noticed 5 minutes in but we made it work. Honestly I had no idea what to expect with Ryan. We had only spoke briefly once but I knew that the dude was making moves. Working with artists like Riff Raff, Wiz Khalifa, PK Delay, Jimmy Wopo, and SOOO MANY MORE you tend to hear about who's really grinding and making a buzz in the city. I always saw him at different shows I went to and he was always involved with all kinds of shit in the city. He told me about how he threw a couple events with Bubba Sparxxx and Ying Yang Twins and created a little Hip Hop Scene in Butler of all places and how he started out in WVU. This week I sat down with Ashley Corts of Black Forge Coffee House. Arguably the MOST Metal Coffee House in all the Land. Its fully equipped with everything you need for your everyday fix of Great People, Pentagrams, Heavy Metal Music, and Incredible Coffee. On top of incredible Locally Sourced Coffee and Pastries Black Forge opens their door to anyone in the community as a creative space for events such as bands, art shows, open mics, or even just to come by and have a cup of their BFCH Dark Roast and get some work done. You will see incredible artwork on the walls from local artists in the city and you might see one of your favorite bands performing at one of their shows. Ashley and her partner Nick are really doing some great things. I loved having her on to talk about where all of this came from and how they made such a unique idea happen. 14/06/2018 Duración: 01h52min

This week I sat down with an awesome dude. Ray Zawodni is a funny ass Comedian from Pittsburgh who has been doing it for a minute. I knew of him before he knew of me just from being in the comedy world and from the Podcast he hosts called 'No Weeks Notice.' He talks to all different kinds of people about their previous jobs they've had and if they have any good "Fuck You. I Quit." moments. Its hilarious. Definitely check it out. But I knew Ray has been working at comedy for years and you can see he puts in the work so I wanted to get him into 'The Phonebooth' (The name I just came up with for my Studio at my house. Get used to it) But I wanted to get Ray in The Phonebooth to find out where all this came from. I wanted to know what planted that seed when he was younger and how he got into pursuing comedy. Every single person has such an awesome story about how they came to love what they love. Ray and I are definitely similar. I really liked our conversation. He's just a funny dude thats easy to talk to and th
