This week, I sit down with gym owner and Professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter, Khama 'the Deathstar' Worthy. Khama and I have known each other for quite awhile now. He supported me with projects I did before the podcast and then was my 3rd episode of this podcast all these years back. We’ve stayed in touch since. Khama has been competing in combat sports for 14 years now. He has navigated his way through the world of fighting and experienced its glory and its wrath. The first episode we did was about how Khama was introduced into fighting. In the last episode, we spoke about making it to the UFC and being a -1000 underdog in his debut. This week, I crossed another name off the bucket list of legendary interviews! I am honored to share a conversation with THE one and only, Santa Claus. Goatscaping, in so many words, is a way of utilizing the natural grazing lifestyles of goats to help combat the invasive plant and weed population in certain areas. Gavin is a Northside resident who started working in goatscaping around 2015. At first, he was just a volunteer looking to hangout with goats and help make our environment a little better but shortly after, he started his own operation. This week, I sit down with Chicago based independent artist, JAMS the Flava Child. JAMS came across my path due to the recent bodies of work him and long time friend of the show Billy Hoyle put out. I started diving into his work and watching all of his music videos and became impressed with the detail he put into his craft. From his lyrics to his visuals, you could tell he was making some shit shake. This week, JAMS and I talk about his introduction to music, collaboration, how he managed to grow his brand, his attention to detail, and so much more. I really enjoyed chopping it up with him and learning about the method behind the madness. I was nervous sitting down for this one. I’m not sure if it was because I wasn’t well versed on him or his catalog of work or the fact that he wasn’t from our city. This week, I sit down with Dr Lauren Blood to talk about life as a Veterinarian. As a new dog dad and all around curious person, I was on the hunt to try and find a Vet who would be a good sport and could handle my cornucopia of ignorant questions I had in my mind.
