Truth of the Spirit episode ‘Recognizing God’s Voice’ hosted by Patti Brunner provides several spiritual exercises for listening to the Lord. Please know that the Lord wants you to hear his voice. Mostly it is the ability to discern God’s voice that the people need help—He speaks to you all the time.
