Overcoming Demonic Barriers to Healing with Patti Brunner is Part 6 of the ‘Jesus Healed Them All’ series. Sometimes healings are blocked due to occult barriers. We are reminded in Ephesians 6 that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but spiritual forces of evil, such as spirits of infirmity, anxiety, addiction and spirits of fear. There are three types of demonic interference: Temptation, oppression and possession. The most frequent form of oppression is harassment. The enemy wants his victims to think there is no help or hope for them. Prayer may have to be repeated; wars have more than one battle and you may find yourself in spiritual warfare.

Today’s episode is Healing Beyond Skin Deep, part 5 of our series The Lord Healed Them All with Patti Brunner. Inner healing unlocks the heart which, due to a pain of the past, has hardened and formed a barrier to prevent future pain at the cost of living the abundant life promised by Jesus. Inner healing repairs emotional injuries from the past. Accepting the presence and the peace of God bring many people inner healing especially the healing of memories. One method is called “Theophostic”. It consists of bringing Jesus into the memory of the hurt. Lack of forgiveness for those who have wounded our hearts is a barrier, too. Recommended is Fr. ‘When Healing Is Not Seen’ is Part 4 of Jesus Healed Them All with Patti Brunner and discusses barriers to healing. Why does one receive healing and another does not? Why are we healed and then later it comes back? Discern if there is a block to receiving the grace of healing. Negative words of authority—especially our own— affect our healing. Jesus has cut down the major barriers with the cross and his Precious Blood but the hearts of sinners have planted many briars and have placed various stumbling blocks. Our hope is in the Lord, who made heaven and earth! It’s there—not for the taking but for the receiving!

Healing Series based on “The Lord Healed Them All” continues with Part 3 “Followers of Jesus are Called to Heal” with Patti Brunner.  Jesus used healing in compassion and as a tool for sharing the Kingdom of God.  As you hear these scriptures you will hear Lord’s instruction, coaching us to continue his healing ministry, to follow his Way; they show us that healing continues to be a key part of the ministry of Jesus through the Holy Spirit.  It is difficult for people to pray themselves when they are in pain except to cry out to God for relief. Part 2 of the series “The Lord Healed Them All” this episode “Who Did Jesus Heal?” expounds the idea of the healing ministry of Jesus as he traveled around the countryside. You’ll hear not only the types of healing that Jesus did but also some examples of healing that continue to take place today. There is nothing too big, too desperate, nor too overwhelming for Jesus to heal.

The Lord Healed Them All – Introduction. When I recorded the podcast “Healing and Gifts of the Spirit” I promised to teach in depth about healing at a later time. Over the years through ministry, conferences, research and prayer, the Lord has helped me find various ways to bring His healing to others. There is a blessing that comes forth when those who seek the Face of God share what they have been given. This includes sharing your witness. In this episode, Patti Brunner will give you pointers in preparing your witness and the benefits of Sharing the Abundant Life. Stewardship is not a ‘to do’ that we accomplish then cross it off the list. Its purpose is to connect us with Jesus. When you grow in understanding, you begin to comprehend truth in ways that you never realized. When your heart is moved by God’s love, it is an important moment in your life. Whatever you say, speak from the heart. Share truth; truth sets hearts free. When a difficult time in your life is overcome by the mercy and grace of God, it can become a witness sharing point. You can’t imagine the blessings that will flow as you recognize the presence of God in your life and then share that with others.

Blessing comes forth when those who seek the Face of God share what they have been given. Patti Brunner shares how she learned to test the Lord per Malachi 3:10 and how the Lord responded with blessings and an abundant life. This story of learning to trust God through tithing shows the fulfillment of the Parable of the Talents and the Lord’s command in Luke Chapter 6:38 "Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure packed together, shaken down and overflowing, will be poured into your lap".

Walk Among the Needy with Patti Brunner. When stress attacks the weak, the needy, it takes the intercession of others to bring the light of dawn into the situation. Wherever you are in the world there is a need greater than your own. Compared to most of the world, America is not poor. But poverty of spirit does not use financial wealth or “need” as its barometer and measure. The fruit of Christianity is a desire to take care of the needs of others. “Untold riches” is not based on money but on the Word of God. Managing the taking care of the needy is a responsibility of the Church leaders and that sometimes it is an overwhelming task.

The history of Pentecost and the charismatic movement that is taking place today is presented by Truth of the Spirit with Patti Brunner. “Pentecost History: Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow”. Truth of the Spirit asks you, “Can you imagine the impact of the Holy Spirit reuniting with man? The restoration of eternal life? The restoration of the presence of God with man after millennia of being apart?” Man’s destiny is to be fully one with God --by God dwelling within us. God created us to be one with him for all eternity. Destiny is not fulfilled until freewill is applied. Mankind chose to turn their backs on their supernatural nature and their destiny-- to live apart from God. God so loved man that He sent his beloved son to overcome death and fulfill the destiny by restoring holiness and restoring life by placing his Spirit within man. It is again a choice for each man. Now the Holy Spirit resides in those who seek God’s face.

Final episode of the Lenten Logos series on Truth of the Spirit with Patti Brunner. Jesus came upon the earth to restore you to the heavenly kingdom. Jesus came to give freedom to the captives—even those who have created their own prison and those who are oblivious to the fact that they are not free in their lives. The difficulty with living your life in the world is that you were created for eternity. The world can never satisfy in the ‘long run'. You worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?” Jesus tells us, “Seek ye first The Kingdom of God and all this will be given unto you.”

Different hearts speak to the Lord in various ways. Some pour out their heart to God, others speak the prayers they memorized as a child. Prayer is talking to God or asking others to talk to God for us. Over the years my relationship with the Lord has expanded as He has taught me many things about prayer. As we use our freewill to ask help for ourselves and others, we are following the command of Jesus to proclaim the Kingdom of God and the barriers caused by pain, by ignorance, by pride, by sin are broken.

God’s Divine Mercy knows no bounds. We compare Divine Mercy to an ocean of grace, but the depths of the oceans only hint at the magnitude. God's mercy provides the Way for us. It is narrow but it is not boring and it is not constrictive. Our God delights in our use of imagination and designed freewill for the fullness of life. How do we find God’s Divine Mercy? Seek the grace and the joy of the day—for this is the day the Lord has made! It is uniquely designed for us and for this moment in history. Call upon the name of Jesus and your prayers will be heard.

There is a force in this land that hates God. If you love sin, the evil spirits are attracted to you like moths to a light bulb on a summer night. Satan preys on our longings and tempts us with imitations; he lies to us and uses things of the flesh and false spiritual things. Evil will try to penetrate, but when you are filled with the Most Holy Spirit, the evil cannot deceive you. One moment of truth destroys the darkness accumulated in a life time! One of the deadly effects of sin is that we lose our awareness of sin. We, in our sinfulness, and those who sin against us may be acting out of habit. The more frequently we receive the sacrament of Reconciliation, the more we are aware of our sin. Barriers keep us from receiving the fullness of God's grace. This is the Effect of Sin, the subject of part 2 of the Lenten Logos series on Truth of the Spirit. The complex effect of sin in the world causes pain. Every sin, every hurt, every rejection, every ugly word wounds us. We begin to build up protective layers, but unlike a pearl whose finished product is lovely, we are like an onion with layers that bring tears to our eyes.

A primary tool used to cultivate us during Lent is meditation on the Cross and the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Way of the Cross makes evident that the life of Christ had a purpose more than that of a rabbi or a King. Jesus was those things, indeed, but his life had a much grander plan. As you walk the walk in your daily life, Christ walks with you. As you walk the walk of the Cross you are given the opportunity to walk with Him. Each passage, each stumble, each encounter along the way, points to the love Jesus shows to his Father for those whom the Father loves. We can take these moments and apply them to our own lives. We can apply them to the very history of mankind.

Over time mankind got ‘used to the dark’. Jesus became man to become the perfect sacrifice to redeem the prisoners and set them free. Through the sacrificial death of Jesus, sin was forgiven and man is restored through the Light of Christ. Salvation is a free gift purchased by the Blood of Jesus. We cannot earn it—we can only accept it—or reject it. From the first moment of the Resurrection nothing stood in the way of the outpouring of God’s love.

Jesus provides the example for us to lead an abundant life as Priest, Prophet, and King. Jesus is the High Priest. There is a ministerial priesthood and a common priesthood. A priest is someone who connects man to God and God to man. According to our baptism, that is one of our duties as a Christian. What’s a prophet? A prophet is someone who hears the voice of God and shares what God says. What is a King? Someone in charge of others by royal birthright, and their duty is to protect, provide and expand the kingdom and to be a good steward. Jesus gives us the example.
