To The Heart Of The Matter

This thought that has bothered for a long time that comes from a great number of my friends on the right side of the political spectrum that everything needs to be taught in school. ( Like somehow they remember or misremember learning these things in school).I am of the mind that the most important things in a society must be passed from parent to child inside the confines of the family structure. The Four we will talk about today are:1. Return prayer to school2. Teach Civics3. Teach the Constitution4. Teach Life SkillsWith a day full of these things combined withtrangender acceptance, gun control and climate change awareness and protest, when will Billy learn to read?

There are 14 Democrats running for the Democrat nomination for President of the United States. I don't think we are done hearing from those that are going to throw their hat into the ring. It took me a while as I thought about why so many people.  I thought it couldn't all be just vanity. Ther had to be a strategy to all of this. One thing I must say about the left is that the never act without a plan. Any there has to be a plan in all of this.

Oh my goodness. I can hardly believe what I am seeing today. Republican members of the Senate standing up to President Trump's Declaration of a National Emergency. And you would have thought they had all kissed Jane Fonda on the mouth at the Lincoln Mounument.I think ome of us are missing the point here. I warned of the danger of hero worship and the power of Presiential personality years ago and here is it in full bloom. 

Democratic U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) introduced legislation Wednesday to lower the federal election voting age from 18 to 16. I submit we do something else, I submit we RAISE the voting age for Congress to 25 and for the president to 30 years old. I am sure some of you think that voting is a dog and pony show and none of it matters but, I would like to have this iscussion while someone is talking about voting and voting age. 

I fear that I would use these examples and oversimplified these complex matters, but I am of the mind that the social system in America has played some "slight of hand" with the "enemy" of "people of color." Please give what I am saying a bit to settle in your tummy before you discount then out of hand.

In all the time I have been paying attention to the god-awful messaging from Republicans and the right, in general, this cycle is different. The left in its effort to oust Donald Trump have given Republicans a present they have never been able to give themselves. Let's talk about it!
