This week's podcast is a  guided meditation about the waves of life, happenings, and the flowing nature of us.  The meditation is set to an excerpt of music from the new 4hr East Forest x Broderick livestream on YouTube.In support and celebration of their collaborative album "Burren", Peter Broderick and East Forest gathered on the winter solstice of 2022 to improvise a 4-hour ceremony with the intention to guide a journey via live acoustic music.  Featuring dual pianos, violin, vibraphone, guitar, percussion, voice and more, the two artists found a magical zone of creation that was all intimately captured on film.  Now completely remixed and remastered, this complete 4-hour musical ceremony is available on Youtube @eastforestmusic.   Forest and Broderick's new full-length album "Burren" was largely born through a similar process of shared improvisation.  The intention with this livestream ceremony now on YouTube, was to return back into that fertile space of creative freedom and see what additional music may

It's unusual for an album to be conceived and captured in a single week, with every song included in the exact same order in which they were created. But that's exactly what happened when East Forest and Peter Broderick gathered in a small house in the west of Ireland to write and record music together in April 2022.   The album "Burren" is out on Bright Antenna Records on March 17, 2023.Having never met in person before, there was only one precondition: no musical plan — to be fully open to the ancient rocky hillside landscape in County Clare known as "The Burren". Maybe it was the micro-dosing of the wild foraged fungi, or the drinking of pristine waters from an ancient spring just outside — but for both artists the time together felt precious and magical. Along with the deep green glades spanning to the ocean dotted with sheep, endless birds, fierce winds and majestic Hawthorn trees, the goal was to let the landscape speak through the music. Justin Wren knows what it's like to feel like the world is against you.  Like many kids, Justin was bullied as a teenager, but he had a dream that kept him going. Fueled by the anger he felt toward his tormentors, Justin pursued wrestling in high school where he became 10 time State Champion, 5 time All American, and 2 time National Champion.  Justin trained hard and this propelled his dream of becoming a UFC fighter into reality.  But the pain from his childhood didn't dissipate, and Justin fell into a spiral of depression and addiction that led him on a path toward destruction.  After he was kicked out of his training community, his career was in shambles and he had nowhere else to go so Justin attended a men's retreat.  It was there he found his faith and purpose for living.As Justin began piecing his life back together, he took several international trips. This led him to the Ituri rain forest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where he came across the Mbuti Pygmies, a group of people persecuted by n
