  • Coming 2 America (Review) – Some Things Are Best Left Alone!

    17/03/2021 Duración: 06min

After 30 years we get a sequel of what one could call one of the greater black comedic films. I mean It sits among classics starring Eddie Murphy like Trading Places, Boomerang, and Harlem Nights. With great anticipation many of us waited patiently much like how we are waiting on a Friday sequel with Chris Tucker and unlike a Friday sequel with Chris Tucker (we shouldn’t have gotten this one man – in my Chris Tucker voice) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • They Got my Man Pepe (Le Pew) – Who’s next?

    15/03/2021 Duración: 29min

There are things that are right and things that are wrong and maybe it’s just me not wanting to let go of things from my childhood that to me were pretty innocent. Nowadays everyone has to find a cause to rally behind even if it is right or wrong but did my man Pepe really deserve this kind of treatment? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Tom & Jerry: The Movie (Review) – Same Old Scraps

    10/03/2021 Duración: 07min

My Grandson and I watch Boomerang and Cartoon Network heavily but he prefers Boomerang and when we watch the classic Tom & Jerry Cartoons. There is nothing better than the senseless feud that seems to have gone as long as many of us can remember. Now we get a new movie now with Michael Pena (Ant-Man) and Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick Ass) and here are my thoughts… Kid movies with subtle lessons and easter eggs for the adults are common place now. We get this all the time from the major animation players and the use of classic cartoon characters to cash in on the nostalgia element of many of us adults. Tom & Jerry is no difference. We know the basic premise Cat vs Mouse and watching this movie plays that to the max but it is missing something I just can’t place my finger on. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Series End/Theories End - Thoughts on WandaVision’s Final Episode

    08/03/2021 Duración: 39min

*** We are going to spoil all this so if you haven’t watched episode 9 of WandaVision stop listening and come back later*** We made it to the end everyone and I don’t know if I should be excited, sad, or disappointed but Phase 4 of the MCU is now officially alive and kicking and should prove to be interesting. So, let us see where my theories sit after the final episode of WandaVision and hopefully predict where we go from here. Let us get to the nitty gritty people I am going to say I enjoyed the series as a whole but like many people I wanted so much more and my desire to have answers and characters that either haven’t been seen or want more of. I think I had more guesses correct than wrong but you know my memory gets a little cloudy at times. I guess I will just bang them out. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Theories Change (Episodes 7-8) – It Was Agatha All Along? Or is it?

    01/03/2021 Duración: 44min

We are almost at the end of our Wanda Vision Journey people and I hope you stuck around from the beginning to see how this developed because if you didn’t you wouldn’t know about all of my great Theories along the way but who cares Theories Change and here is how we are doing as we approach the final episode. What has proven to be wrong from my previous predictions? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Another Take on Superman? Superman & Lois (Pilot Episode)

    25/02/2021 Duración: 06min

Warner Bros cannot leave the character alone for a minute. There have been so many takes on Superman some more enjoyable than others and this one spins out of the “Arrowverse”. This though is something different because it shows a fully matured and developed Superman with a family. Honestly, this is refreshing because it adds something that really is missing from live action Superman ethos and that is how he is more human than the people he protects in many instances. He is performing next to impossible feats just a few minutes into the pilot episode yet from the soundtrack to his narration it is grounded emotionally. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • I Can’t Stand “Nerd” Internet

    23/02/2021 Duración: 38min

Let’s take a moment to pause for the cause and discuss some random topics because the levels of for lack of a better term stupidity in some of the websites and Facebook groups that cover our favorite nerdy topics show people have no deductive reasoning skills or have the desire to do any constructive research. Let’s not talk about patiently waiting for stories to unfold…. Matter of fact we will. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Theories Change WandaVision (Eps 5-6) – Which Devil in the Details?

    15/02/2021 Duración: 44min

It’s that time again for my double episode review and theory update regarding Marvels WandaVision. Episode 5 & 6 have had their shares of shocks and surprises but I think the real banger is coming real soon. I have spoken with some people off line and I also have read so many theories online but I think I am getting to the 90% Solution so hear me out: After watching the last two episodes and knowing so many background details about upcoming Marvel productions I think I have a vague idea on where so much of this is going and I think many of you will possibly agree with me. I am beginning to realize that the odd numbered episodes leave you scratching your head more than the even number ones because they introduce concepts that possibly throw you off track. Let’s jump into this because now my mind is blown and everyone will be disagreeing with me after this. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • What’s Next for 2021

    08/02/2021 Duración: 26min

We made it to February 2021 people and since we are five episodes deep into Marvel Phase 4 with WandaVision, we have seen Anthony Mackie line himself up to be the next level Action Hero on Netflix and soon Disney+ now, where do we go from here? This week as a Superbowl Pre-Game let’s have a quick discussion on our upcoming entertainment menu before kickoff.   --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Theories Change – WandaVision Episodes 3 - 4 (Review Update)

    01/02/2021 Duración: 31min

If you haven’t figured it out, I am reviewing every two episodes of WandaVision so pretty much every two weeks I will update my theories and see how this could possibly shape the MCU moving forward. It is not beyond me to admit when I am wrong and my previous theory while wrong did have some elements correct let’s look at the most recent two episodes and also talk about viewer reactions. The complaints keep rolling in after my review of episodes 1 and 2 I keep getting messages saying how wrong I was to give it a 5 so far, the show isn’t funny, why do they have a laugh track? Listen if you don’t sit your short attention span too used to binge watching I want everything spelled out for me now ass down…. Let me calm down some. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Outside the Wire (Netflix Review) – Training Day Meets I-Robot

    25/01/2021 Duración: 21min

Anthony Mackie must have some super-secret sci-fi deal with Netflix to be the next action hero. I mean he was the man in Altered Carbon Season 2 and we won’t bring up his Disney ties as the Falcon in the Avengers films. Outside the Wire is his latest venture and here are my thoughts about it. The Plot In 2036AD, a civil war between pro-Russian insurgents and local resistances in Ukraine leads the US to deploy peacekeeping forces. During an operation, a team of United States Marines and "Gumps" (robotic soldiers) are ambushed. Disobeying an order, drone pilot 1st Lt. Harp deploys a Hellfire missile in a drone strike against a suspected enemy launcher, killing 2 Marines but saving 38. As punishment, Harp is sent to Camp Nathaniel, the US base of operations in Ukraine where he is assigned to Captain Leo, a highly advanced and experimental android super-soldier masquerading as a human officer. Outside the Wire was released by Netflix digitally on January 15, 2021. The film was the most-watched on the platform ove

  • I Have A Few Theories – A WandaVision Review (Ep 1 – 2)

    18/01/2021 Duración: 30min

With WandaVision dropping on Disney + MCU fans like myself are finally getting ready to enter the next phase of the movies we have grown to enjoy. This was not your typical MCU formula production resembling anything we have seen before and it possibly could be a turn off for many who expected something extremely different especially after seeing streaming shows like the NETFLIX Marvel Shows and the Movies themselves. **IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED THEM YET AFTER THIS THERE MAY BE SPOILERS** --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/support

  • Batman: Soul of the Dragon (Review) - a “Bat-sploitation” film

    13/01/2021 Duración: 10min

Renowned animation producer Bruce Timm takes the Dark Knight back to the 1970s for a supernatural-laden martial arts extravaganza in Batman: Soul of The Dragon, the next entry in the popular series of the DC Universe Movies. The film is rated R for some violence. Set in the midst of the swinging 1970s, this Elseworlds adventure finds Bruce Wayne training under a master sensei. It is here that Bruce, along with other elite students, is forged in the fire of the martial arts discipline. The lifelong bonds they form will be put to the test when a deadly menace arises from their past. It will take the combined efforts of Batman, world-renowned martial artists Richard Dragon, Ben Turner and Lady Shiva, and their mentor O-Sensei to battle the monsters of this world and beyond! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message

  • X-Men Anime on Netflix is it a Pass or Fail?

    11/01/2021 Duración: 24min

90s X-Men on Fox was the gold standard that had drawn many people to the X-Men as a whole. It was the literal launching point for the Fox X-Men movies whether you loved them or hated them they were some of the hottest properties out there cashing in on the popularity of Wolverine, Storm, and Professor X and Magneto. Now we have a gap in seeing these characters on both the small and big screen unless you want to watch the older 90s cartoon and all the Fox Marvel films on streaming services or Blu Ray and DVD if that’s your thing. Netflix dug up a Japanese animated series made in 2011 Marvel Anime: X-Men and Marvel Anime: Wolverine I started watching the X-Men Season which is 12 Episodes and has your basic Japanese animation style so I was curious and decided to take a look. **Minor Spoilers Included** --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message

  • Happy New Year – More Lies, More Drama, More Nerd

    04/01/2021 Duración: 38min

It’s that time for the New Years resolutions and seeing how long we can keep up the extravagant promises we make to ourselves each year that usually get swept under the rug by mid-February, early March. We hear it all the time, New Year New Me, this is my year, I’m going to do this better, blah blah blah. So, at a minimum: We are all hoping that the S@#% show that 2020 has turned out to be doesn’t bleed over into 2021. With that being said there will be changes to the Podcast and to the YouTube Channel and I hope that they will all be for the better. Hopefully more movies, more television, more superheroes and even more fun stuff. Now that we are in 2021 does anyone feel any different? I mean just like every other year we are going to have problems writing the date properly but now we have so many other things to worry about. I mean between people waiting on stimulus assistance, unemployment, new COVID strains, and people still not able to get a PS5 or an XBOX Series X I am surprised we didn’t get alien invad

  • Making Star Wars Great Again – Mandalorian Season 2 Review (Ep 4 – 8)

    31/12/2020 Duración: 18min

I know people wanted me to talk about the Mandalorian during my live stream but I had to re-watch these last 4 episodes of the second season to keep that energy high. I have been poking the bear for the last two months by saying Star Wars is better than Star Trek and I really have to add context to my statement because I have been getting a few choice words from people over the internet, not like I let stuff like that get to me because I’m an asshole but some of my more dedicated listeners deserve my respect. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message

  • WW84 (Review) – The Good, The Bad, The 80s

    28/12/2020 Duración: 36min

The hype was real. The Wonder Woman sequel finally hits theaters (sort of) and this movie originally was supposed to be released back in 2019 but due to the pandemic and many theaters being closed like many “Blockbusters” it found itself being pushed back and according to some it should have been pushed off a cliff… **Warning there may be spoilers ahead** Everyone expects me to pretty much bash Warner Bros superhero films because of my disagreement in how Zach Snyder made the core Justice League (Superman & Batman) so dark and the lighter toned movies I really enjoyed (Shazam, Aquaman, & Wonder Woman). I plan on taking a different approach to WW84 because just like in the reviews you see online my house was split in how we felt about the movie although I don’t think there was an extreme “hate” for the film. So, let’s look at the Good, the Bad, and the WTF regarding this movie. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message

  • I Put the Ho in Holiday 2020 Edition – Don’t Ask Me About The Mandalorian

    21/12/2020 Duración: 30min

Christmas is next weekend; we are in the Holiday season full swing and I am not 100% a Grinch but don’t ask me anything about the Mandalorian season finale because I need to watch it twice so I can give my proper 2 cents.  With that being said I plan on talking about everything else so some of this you may know, some of it maybe not but sit back and enjoy the ride.    Last Weekend of raising funds for Children's National Medical Center click the link to donate:  https://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.participant&participantID=411375 --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message

  • The Disney Empire Strikes Back – Investors Day Announcements

    14/12/2020 Duración: 46min

Hot off of Warner Bros announcements last week regarding releasing all their 2021 Movies in theaters and streaming Disney held their Investors Day. This was the Ultimate Hold my Beer Moment but it still left so many unanswered questions about movie releases in theaters but streaming is about to be off the rails. Now I am a Disney Shareholder so I may be a little biased in all of my talks about Disney as a whole but who wouldn’t be for something that makes the money. I started doing micro share transactions through Stash Invest about two years ago $5 here $10 there and there were some ups and downs but for some reason I stayed with Disney as a stock I invested in. Earlier this year I doubled down putting extra cash into it when COVID hit and shares dropped to $79. I mean theme parks are the big money maker for the company but Movies and Streaming have had to pick up the slack. So, on the announcements made on investment day which for most parts was a rehash of the D23 expo where they announced many of the Marv

  • HBO Max Just Changed the Movie Game and Theaters are Not Happy

    07/12/2020 Duración: 27min

Also, it has other production studios contemplating what they are going to do moving forward. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/goingfullnerd/message
