Mariangela's Back-Back-Back Again!! And it's her birthday episode (so be sure to wish her a very happy birthday!) Mariangela brings us some spooky family ghost storiez that start all the way in Scotland at Tulloch Castle. This castle houses multiple spirits ranging from maids, to previous owners, to a Green Lady who enjoys an audience and having her picture taken. Don't believe us? It's another week in the pandemic nightmare of 2020, and another week of storiez!! We can't remember if we used to go light story to dark story or vice-versa, but this week we're hitting the ground running with a dark unsolved murder mystery. Stephanie tells us the story of the Hinterkaifeck murders in Germany. An entire family slaughtered one by one in their barn, not found for 4 days, and the murderer has not been found to this day! If this story doesn't give you shivers then maybe Sarah's will. Instead of bringing you a murder or ghost story, she's got her own weird dream to talk about. Long time listener, first time caller - let's give a big Deadtime Storiez welcome to our guest Caitlyn!!! Caitlyn has been a fan of the show since episode 1 and we're so excited to have her as our guest this week. She's calling in all the way from the mountains of Colorado and bringing some spooky Colorado storiez with her. Caitlyn starts us off with the history and her personal experience in the "Cave of the Winds". Missing kids, a pranking ghost, mummies, and a demon are just some of the residents of this cave. And to end things on a lighter and colder note, Caitlyn wraps up with the story of the Frozen Dead Guy of Nederland, Colorado. The resident Grandpop-icle is still housed in his original shed, surrounded by dry ice, and the town even has a yearly festival in his honor!! We seriously couldn't make this stuff up, even if we tried.

Have we mentioned things are weird right now? Especially in the performing arts world....thank goodness we have this podcast! This weeks episode consists of a long, wild-ride of a story but then we follow it up with some light facts, so you hopefully don't have too many nightmares. Sarah tells us the true crime "mystery" of the Gribble House Murders, also known as the 1909 Savannah Axe Murders OR The Most Diabolical Crime In Savannah Georgia. Hear about this odd, midday murder and the weird methods police took to track down the killer. Stephanie follows up that grisly story with some fun black-cat-facts! Not only are these felines cute as a button, but they also represent good luck in some cultures! Blanche worked her way up the grocery store management chain....but that's not all she did. Sarah wraps up the episode with her first haunted doll story!! We promise we tried to put in as many research hours as Kristina! Sarah starts us off this week with a listener request from our wonderful listener Cara! Hear about how a cereal company conducted experiments on unsuspecting boys by feeding them radioactive breakfasts. Classic America move right there. Stephanie follows up with a little bit of a sequel or continuation of our YouTube-is-freakin-crazy saga. She tells us more about the artist known as Poppy, and all the drama around her rise to fame(?). We're calling this a weird world episode. There aren't any ghosts, but these storiez will still have you feeling uneasy!

Kstina's back ya'll!! This week we've got Kristina back to add another installment to the Onision story. Back in episodes 91 & 92 Kristina brought us the story of infamous YouTuber "Onision" and how Chris Hansen was now involved. We knew we'd get an update at some point....but this is certainly NOT the update we expected!! Tune in to hear the (massive amount of) research Kristina has done to bring us part 3 of the story of Onision.......or is it even his story anymore??? We also live-streamed this recording, so you'll hear some happy little tech issues and an extra guest-dog joining in toward the end. It's Corona-time ya'll....we're learning as we go.

Without meaning too, both of our stories this week are similar! They're both displacing, park filled 'fun?' Tune in as Stephanie tells us the history behind a cemetery in Denver CO that is now a park and the starting point of Denver's Pride Parade. Hear about what happened, or didn't happen, to the bodies below the surface. Sarah follows it up with another park story! This one is some history behind Central Park in NYC. And in following the normal fashion, hear about how white men came in and ruined everything that was nice. Sometimes it's hard to bring in comedy when the world around us seems so dark - but that's what we hope to do here at Deadtime Storiez and we hope to put a smile on your face today!

We've got more banter for you in the beginning of this episode than Stephanie had to eat all day! Just kidding - and don't worry, this hasn't become a fasting/health podcast. But, quarantine topics are running slim ya'll....ANYWAY: our spooky storiez get started with Sarah telling us about the Indonesian folklore of WeWe Gombel. She'll snatch your kids, but only if the parents are abusive, and take care of them in her own special way. Stephanie finishes with the haunting tale of the Mary Celeste. A boat that left the harbor with passengers, but when it was seen again, it was empty of all inhabitants (and thats JUST THE BEGINNING).

But we're still here!! We're keeping things on the lighter side this week, because the real world is SCARY GIRL! Get ready for more banter than normal (maybe we should change the name to Spicetime Storiez?)before Stephanie regales us with the story of the Automaton Turk (not to be confused with the fictional movie "Automaton Constable"). Built in 1770 this Automaton played a mean game of chess; even beating Napoleon Bonaparte and Benjamin Franklin. However, things aren't always as they appear -- tune in to hear how this Automaton was different than all the others. Sarah follows this up with the haunting of the Glen Tavern Inn in California. We start off with Sarah telling us about the Iroquois Theatre Fire tragedy of Chicago. In 1903 a stage fire erupted and almost 600 people perished. It shouldn't have happened, and yet, it did. Listen to why and what mistakes were made that led to this tragedy, and also led to many safety precautions we see today. Stephanie follows that up with an even heavier story about Tania Head a 9/11 "survivor". Without giving too much away, this is absolutely a story you have to hear to believe. Episode 101 is here! We're officially in the triple-digits (and season 2 now...maybe?...probably not). But, back in full swing over here at Deadtime Storiez with an old-school ghost story from Stephanie about Myrtle's Plantation in Louisiana. The plantation has been featured on numerous ghost hunting shows, and appears to house multiple spirits, along with a bloody past. Sarah follows it up with an unsolved mystery (insert theme music here) about the Circleville letters. In 1976 the residents of Circleville, Ohio began receiving strange letters and things really took a turn when one resident became the authors focus and another resident met a grisly demise. To this day the writer is still unknown. This episode feels like we're getting back to our Deadtime Storiez roots - so listen today!
