A night after collecting 12 runs on 15 hits, the Red Sox bats were held in check for the most part, and it resulted in a 5-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles in the middle game of the 3-Game set at Fenway Park Tuesday night.  The Sox are 3-2 on their current Homestand with 1 more to go Wednesday night against the Orioles.           -----Kutter's Night: Kutter Crawford went 6.1 innings and took the loss against the Orioles Tuesday night.  Crawford gave up 2 home runs and both to Cedric Mullins.  He got the Orioles on the board with a solo Home Run in the 1st inning.  Mullins made it 3-0 with a 2-run shot off Crawford in the 3rd Inning.  Crawford has now allowed 31 Home Runs in his 30 starts this season and 23 have come with no one on base.  Crawford picked up a strike out in the 7th Inning before his night came to an end and he left with the Sox trailing, 3-1.  The Sox are now 9-21 in Crawford's 31 starts this season.    #50's Final Line- 6.1 IP. 7 Hits. 3 R. 3 ER. 1 BB. 6 Ks. 2 HR Allowed. -----2-Out Damage: Ori

The Red Sox got back in the win column with a 12-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles in the series opener Monday night at Fenway Park.  The Sox hit 4 Home Runs in their 73rd win of the season. Brayan Bello worked into the 6th and picked up his team-best 13th win.  Sox are 3-1 on their current 6-Game Homestand.              -----Bello's Night on the Bump: Brayan Bello made the start against the Orioles in the opener against the Orioles.  Bello gave up a run in the 1st Inning and was able to limit the damage.  Anthony Santander knocked in the game's 1st run with an RBI single.  Bello walked Adley Rutschman to load up the bases with 1 out and he came back and struck out the next 2 hitters to leave the bases loaded.  Bello ran into trouble in the Top of the 4th by walking 2 hitters and hitting a batter. He issued his 3rd walk of the Inning to Santander and that brought in a run.  Bello left the bases loaded for the 2nd time on the night by getting the final out on a fly out.  Bello retired the leadoff hitter in the

The Red Sox failed to complete a series sweep over the White Sox on Sunday afternoon and dropped the finale, 7-2, at Fenway Park. It's the 3rd time since the All-Star Break where the Red Sox were unable to pull off a series sweep.  Zack Kelly gave up 5 runs in the 9th Inning and he took the loss.               -----Fitts Debut: Richard Fitts was told Saturday that he was being called up to make his MLB debut in Sunday's finale against the White Sox. The 24-year-old pitched in front of family and friends and did not allow a run over the 1st 5 Innings and exited with 2 outs in the 6th.  Fitts was charged with 2 runs in his final inning, and both runs were unearned.  Fitts got out of 2 jams by getting inning-ending Double Plays in the 4th and again in the 5th.  He ended up with a no-decision in his 1st start in the Big Leagues.  Fitts is the 9th player and youngest to make his MLB for the Red Sox this season.   #80's Line: 5.2 IP. 6 Hits. 2 R. 0 ER. 1 BB. 2 K. 66 P/44 Strikes.            -----Out of the Pen- Gre

The Red Sox made it back-to-back wins with a 7-5 victory over the White Sox Saturday night at Fenway Park.  Tyler O'Neill went deep 2 times and Cooper Criswell worked 5 innings in the start.  The Red Sox are still 5 games below .500 at home (33-38) but have won 4 of their last 5 at Fenway.      -----On the Board 1st: The White Sox got on the board 1st for the 2nd straight night and Saturday night it was Andrew Vaughn hitting a 2-out, 2-run Home Run off Criswell.  It was Vaughn's 17th Home Run of the season and his 3rd against the Red Sox.        -----Sox on the Board:  The Red Sox wasted no time getting on the board with 4 runs in the Home 1st Inning against Garrett Crochet.  Jarren Duran led off with a single and he went 1st to 3rd on a Double from Rafael Devers.  Rob Refsnyder picked up an RBI with a groundout and then Tyler O'Neill put the Red Sox in front for good with a 2-run Home Run.  Romy Gonzalez singled, stole 2nd, stole 3rd and scored on an RBI Double from Connor Wong that put the Red Sox up, 4-2. 

The Red Sox ended their season-high 5-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox in the series opener at Fenway Park on Friday night.  It's the Sox 29th comeback win of the season and with the win the Sox avoid falling to a game below .500.  The Sox have 21 games left in the Regular Season and 5 games remaining on the Homestand.    -----On the Board 1st: The White Sox got on the board and scored their only run against Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta in the 2nd Inning.  Lenyn Sosa led off the Inning with a Double and scored on a 2-out Single from Jacob Amaya.    -----Sox on the Board:  The Red Sox evened the game at 1-1 in the home 4th Inning.  Wilyer Abreu and Masa Yoshida both reached after getting hit by pitches.  Triston Casas picked up an RBI with a single into left field that plated Abreu from 2nd-Base.  Sox were looking for more but Enmanuel Valdez hit into an inning-ending Double Play.-----Taking the Lead with a Bomb:  The Sox took their 1st lead of the night on a 2-run Home Run from

The Red Sox finished their 6-Game Road Trip with an 8-3 loss to the Mets at Citi Field Wednesday night.  The Red Sox went 1-5 on their trip through Detroit and New York and have lost 5 in a row for the 1st time this season and have now been swept 6 times this season and for the 3rd time on the road.                         -----On the Board 1st: Tanner Houck got off to a rough start Wednesday night.  The Sox starter allowed the 1st 3 hitters to reach with a pair of singles and a walk.  After Houck struck out Pete Alonso, he allowed a Grand Slam to Jesse Winker.  Houck retired the next 2 batters and went on to retire 13 in a row at 1 point and he also struck out 6 straight hitters during that stretch.  Houck gave up a couple of hits with 2 outs in the 5th, but stranded both runners to end his night.#89's Final Line- 5.0 IP. 5 Hits. 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 7 Ks. 1 Home Run allowed.  -----Sox on the Board: The Red Sox scored all 3 of their runs and got to within a run in the 3rd against Mets starter Tylor MeGill.  Jarr

The Red Sox lost the series finale, 4-1, to the Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit Sunday afternoon.  Sox won the opener Friday night but lost the next 2 and are back to 3. Games above .500 with 25 games left in the Regular Season.  Sox are 5-9 over their last 14 games.   -----Strong Start: Cooper Criswell made the start in the finale for the Red Sox and on Sunday and he was terrific, retiring all 12 hitters that he faced over the 1st 4 Innings. The Red Sox dropped a 2-1 decision to the Detroit Tigers Saturday night at Commerica Park.  The Series is even at 1-1 with the finale coming Sunday afternoon.  The Red Sox managed just 1 run against Tarik Skubal, who went 8 Innings and notched his 16th win. Nick Pivetta pitched well in his outing, but ended up with the loss  -----2-Out Magic: Tyler O'Neill got the Red Sox on the board 1st with a 2-out solo Home Run in the Top of the 1st Inning against Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal.  It was O'Neill's 25th Home Run of the season and just his 3rd in the month of August.  Skubal had not allowed a Home Run in his previous 3 outings.  -----Nick's Night- Nick Pivetta, coming off recording 10 strikeouts in working in relief in the completion of the suspended game against the Blue Jays this past Monday at Fenway, made the start Saturday night.  Pivetta was staked to the early 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning. The Red Sox opened up their 6-Game Road Trip with a 7-5, 10-Inning​ win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park Friday night.  Tigers with a run in the Bottom of the 9th off Kenley Jansen to even the game at 4-4.  Ceddanne Rafaela hit a 2-run Home Run in the Top of the 10th and after a pitching change, Jarren Duran crushed a Home Run to right to add to the lead.  Connor Wong had 2 Extra-Base Hits and a pair of RBIs in the Sox victory.  Sox are now 12 over .500 (39-27) on the road for the season.-----On the Board 1st:  Jarren Duran led off the game with a Double to centerfield against Casey Mize and scored from 3rd on an RBI groundout from Tristan Casas.  Sox went up 2-0 in the 3rd Inning on a Sacrifice Fly from Wilyer Abreu.  Connor Wong knocked Boston's 3rd run of the game with an RBI Double in the 4th Inning.  Wong hit his 12th Home Run of the season in the 6th to make it 4-0.  -----The Pen: Brennan Bernardino was the 1st out of the Pen Friday night.  He worked a 1-2-3 7th Inning with 2 strikeouts.  Bernar
