Pastor Aaron kicks of the summer sermon series in Psalms at Sound City with Psalm 113. We learn what the book of Psalms is all about, why we need the Psalms, and how they relate so closely to the gospel.

Pastor Aaron continues our series through John speaking about Jesus and Injustice in John 10: 31-42. Jesus addresses the injustice of the religious leaders while referencing Psalm 82. Pastor Aaron discusses how Jesus suffered the ultimate injustice and how we as Christians should respond in justice today.

How certain are you that your salvation is real? How confident are you that you will reach the end of the road still believing in Jesus? We can have confidence in our salvation, knowing that it is as secure as God himself.

We are like sheep: vulnerable, weak, and in need of leadership. Unlike many so-called shepherds who take advantage of the sheep for their own gain, Jesus is the good shepherd who lays down his life so that we might truly live.

What would it look like if we simply believed in God? Pastor Doug Freyberg finishes up the story of the blind man Jesus healed in John 9. Despite confusion and questioning by the Pharisees, the man expresses a simple statement of belief, "Though I was blind, now I see."

When we suffer, our world shrinks and all we can focus on is the pain. Jesus willingly enters into our pain to bring us hope, redemption, and restoration, but he often does so in surprising ways.

Even though Jesus never said "I am God," he makes a number of claims to his divinity. Pastor Aaron explores the claim Jesus makes in John 8:58.

For better or for worse, our earthly fathers have an enormous impact on our lives. But Jesus came to show us the true heart of God the Father, and to make a way for our lives to be transformed eternally for the better.

Jesus is the truth, and knowing him is true freedom. Pastor Aaron continues in John 8 on how to know the truth of God's word.

Jesus warns his hearers that unless they believe in him, they will die in their sins. By saying this, Jesus shows us the seriousness of sin. Despite the objections of some in our culture, the church must talk seriously about sin and the grace of God that is found in the Messiah.

Pastor Aaron continues in John 8, discussing Jesus' claim to be "the light of the world". As Jesus is the light, we walk in the light. Are you walking in the light?

One of the most well known and misquoted stories in the Gospel of John wasn't actually found in the original manuscripts. Pastor Aaron preaches through this block of scripture by unpacking not only what it means for these verses to appear after the writing of the Gospoel of John, but also how they are stil relevant to us today.

We continue in our series covering the Gospel of John for Easter Sunday. The passage today finds us at the end of the Feast of Booths, and Jesus proclaims loudly that he is the source of living water.

Jesus is more than a good example to follow, he is our redeemer. Pastor Aaron continues in John, showing us that we should always remember to think of Christ first as our redeemer, and then as an example to follow.

The people surrounding Jesus in John 7 got him wrong. His brothers, the Jewish leaders, everyone got him wrong. And so do we. Pastor Aaron unpacks how we misunderstand Jesus today in this sermon from John 7.

Following Jesus is hard, but is completely worth it. This week, Pastor Aaron finishes out Chapter 6 in John's gospel, with a passage showing that Jesus says hard words and following him is difficult, but that shows us all the more how much we need him.
