1 Nephi 5: Learning about our ancestors can empower us. Learning about our parents and their trials can remind us that we too, can accomplish great things. Avery shares a story about his great, great, great grandma Sophia and the comfort she gave him on his mission.

1 Nephi 4: 6-7 Often, we have no idea what our next step should be. In these circumstances, God wants us to trust in Him, and trust OURSELVES and take a blind step in the direction we think is best, and trust the Lord will provide.

2 Nephi 2:15 - "And My Father Dwelt In A Tent" Being a disciple of Christ is never easy and comfortable. Sometimes the Lord asks us to do difficult things. It is often awkward and problematic, but always worth it.

1 Nephi 1:21 - Tender Mercies Heavenly Father loves us and always shows us.
