IT'S TIME TO GET GUNS IN SCHOOLS I've been too squishy about this in the past. Gun control is a fantasy. All the laws we've passed in Colorado did nothing to stop a student from shooting two other students in Evergreen yesterday and then taking his own life. It's time to put armed staff in schools, even though I realize that may not have stopped yesterday's shooting. Perhaps if students knew there were armed teachers they would be less likely to do things like this. Perhaps if we sent the message that schools are no longer a soft target it would give people pause. And I've got Laura Carno on today at 12:30 to talk about a program that has been in existence for years that uses a very high level training program to arm teachers or staff who volunteer to go through the program. THREE IMPORTANT PETITION DRIVES ARE TAKING OFF TODAY And there is a pop up petition event today at  St. Thomas More Catholic Parish, located at 8035 S Quebec St., Centennial, CO from 5 to 8pm where you can pick up petitions to get them signed. What are we gathering signatures for? The initiatives are  #108, #109, #110 and they concern increasing child human trafficking penalties, keeping boys out of girls sports, and forbidding child gender affirming medical treatments. I've got someone from Protect Kids Colorado on at 2:30 today to talk about it.

MORE SHENANIGANS FROM OUR PAROLE SYSTEM I'm not saying the above numbers and the below numbers are connected, but it would not be a crazy thing to do. 9News' Chris Vanderveen has been working on this story and stories about the parole system for a while now and I don't think he's going to stop because he keeps finding out stuff like this. You've got to click on this whole thread to see the history of criminals that have been released from prison on parole after serious changes were made to the file used to make those decisions.

A PHYSICIANS GROUP FILES A GRIEVANCE OVER RACE BASED PROGRAMS And specifically at the University of Connecticut where they advertise a medical externship as a "pipeline for students of color". I've got Dr. Kurt Miceli on at 2:30 to talk about the complaint filed by the group he's with Do No Harm, which you can read here. Diversity as a primary goal is not ideal, especially in medicine. I want a great doctor of any color, not a doctor of color who may or may or may not be great.

FUTURIST THOMAS FREY TODAY AT 1 And we're talking about the recently signed Genius Act- the first comprehensive federal framework for stablecoin regulation. No longer experimental or unregulated, stablecoins gained legitimacy as essential components of the American monetary system. The Federal Reserve now oversees large issuers while providing access to master accounts that enable large-scale operations. A senior Treasury official noted that stablecoin growth will have “significant impact on the dominance of the US dollar and demand for US debt.”" So what does that mean?
