On Sunday we had special guest speaker John Russell, who leads Cornerstone Church in Nottingham, preaching a one-off message from the book of Isaiah. He speaks from chapters 36 and 37 on the way King Hezekiah responds in a time of crises and poses the questions to us: how do you cope in a crisis? Where do you turn to in times of trouble?

To accompany JP's sermon from Sunday 19th April on the Holy Spirit, Michael Williams has recorded a in-depth lecture on the topic. Michael did his masters on this very topic so is well studied on the topic and over the course of an hour digs into some of the questions posed on Sunday in more detail.

This Sunday JP preaches a one-off message on the Holy Spirit, with a particular focus on our perspective on the work of the Spirit in the life of a believer. This week, following a bumper Easter weekend, Ben preaches a follow-up message on reasons for faith and addresses the question 'why am I a Christian?' both on a personal level from his own story, but also why others can be sure of the reasons for their own faith.

We take a break from our series in 2 Samuel and this Sunday have special guest speaker Kate Kent with us from The Rock Church. In our 9.15am service Kate speaks on what it looks like to reach a city and encourages us with some practical ways we can do that effectively.

This week in our 2 Samuel series JP takes us back into chapter 8 where we read of all of David's victories. Through the passage we see the justice of God against sin, as well as the victory of Christ and the way each of us is deployed for the glory of God.

We continue our series preaching through the book of 2 Samuel as part of our Compassion Sunday, where we look at chapter 9. Here we meet Mephibosheth and see the way David wants to show the kindness of God to him, despite him being from the lineage of King Saul. In the way David treats Mephibosheth we learn of the immeasurable kindness of God in Christ towards us.

This Sunday we celebrated the beauty and diversity of God's church with Nations Sunday. As part of the day, Jeremy continued our series in 2 Samuel by preaching on chapter 7 and God's promise to build a house for himself that will endure forever.

This week in our series working through the book of 2 Samuel, we find King David bringing the ark of the covenant back to Jerusalem, but it's not all smooth sailing. In fact, we find that it's only down to the providence of God that it all gets turned for good in the end.

This week in our series in 2 Samuel, Tim preaches on chapter five where we see all the tribes of Israel uniting to anoint David as King. Tim preaches on the nature of unity in the church and the kingship of Christ as the factor that brings us together.
