Doctors Can Be Sexy Too
22/09/2020 Duración: 33minThis bogus study basically said doctors who post photos of themselves in bikinis is unprofessional. FEMALE doctors of course. The ridiculous stigma of being intelligent and sexy at the same time still doesn't exist with females. Well, young doctors didn't sit quietly.

Everyone Has Anxiety and No One Cares
15/09/2020 Duración: 26minSeriously, if you can't pick yourself up there won't be someone there to do it for you. I struggle with this and I have to smack myself with that hard fact. If I can't put effort into coming out of a slump, then even with help I won't get any better.

Peace of Mind
01/09/2020 Duración: 31minA column from the Wall Street Journal discusses peace of mind. I think we can strive for that, maybe even experience moments of it, with the help of self-care. "The Elusive Quest for 'Peace of Mind'" by Stephen Miller

It Only Takes A Few Words to Not Feel So Alone
18/08/2020 Duración: 27minBack from my trip and full of worries. We all get stuck in these moments of anxiety about everything and it feels like you're the only one. It doesn't take much to realize other people have issues too. Then it's kind of comforting knowing it's not just you. Self-care shouldn't be a chore. It should be something that doesn't have an end result, but ultimately frees your mind. *I'm not a therapist. I just see one and like to share.

Sexual Harassment in the Military
15/07/2020 Duración: 40minAfter really thinking about what I've experienced, it's more than I had thought. Fortunately, I have more times when I shut it down or had it taken care of by leadership. It's an unfortunate reality no one likes to talk about. This doesn't mean all soldiers are bad. There's a lot of good ones who've helped me and keep doing the best I can to help others and prevent things that have happened to me. There's a lot that I didn't get to in this one, so stay tuned for more on this.

You Don't Need Validation From Others
08/07/2020 Duración: 34minShaming the fat shamers. Is this really necessary? Heidi Klum is getting accused of fat shaming for hitting the x buzzer on a fat teenage dancer. *eye roll* People have a right to their opinion, just as people have a right to dislike those opinions. Validation is something I work to not need or even desire. Other people don't need to approve of your thoughts and opinions. It can be a process to be okay with yourself and unapologetic about it, but it's worth it. You don't need people living rent free in your mind giving you approval to be yourself.

Quiet Time is My Favorite Time
30/06/2020 Duración: 32minFireworks have been a regular thing in my neighborhood and I still hate it after all these years. Reading 'Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking' by Susan Cain has been eye opening. The more I learn about myself the more I can handle myself. Because sometimes I feel like the most difficult person to deal with is myself.

Let Go Of That Ego
23/06/2020 Duración: 37minYouTube channel After Skool had Jim Carey on several years ago, but the message still applies to today. When your ego gets in the way of being your true self. Why do people try SO HARD to live up to those impossible standards manipulated by computers? I've learned to recognize when I spiral into the 'gotta be perfect' mindset and then I realize - it's time to chill and take a step back.

Why Can't We Be Excellent to Each Other
09/06/2020 Duración: 36minYes, that was a reference to Bill and Ted - who also have another movie coming out. J.K. Rowling has a crappy tweet to make her point. I'm so tired of cancel culture. It's scared people into not having real conversations anymore. The brave ones that do get 'canceled' and actually fired for daring to be on the 'wrong' side.

Silence Doesn't Mean You Have Hate in Your Heart
03/06/2020 Duración: 39minThere's been a lot of talk and posting on social media about how being silent is part of the problem. As an introvert, I do not believe being outspoken is the only way to support the cause against racism and police brutality. Kevin Hart had some inspiring words when he went on the Joe Rogan Experience about improving yourself regularly.

Introversion
26/05/2020 Duración: 39minThe older I get the more I meet fellow introverts that just don't care about being around other people. So, we're friends in our own isolated corners. Susan Cain's Ted Talk is eye opening and really makes you think about those people who are louder than others. Being loud doesn't mean you're right.

When You Forget How to Self-Care
19/05/2020 Duración: 42minLooks like 2020 decided to crap all over us. It took me out for awhile. I forgot how to take care of myself effectively. Yes, turns out self-care isn't doing much for you if you don't put in the right effort. I learned that the hard way. Hopefully, you can learn from my experiences. Books mentioned: The Alchemist by Paulo CoehloTaming Your Gremlin by Richard David Carson

Doomed to Repeat History
13/02/2020 Duración: 43minAngie is learning about historians and it makes her reflect on her own history. How she's repeated her own bad habits. How no one is really that special and actually susceptible to repeating history.

You're Responsible For Your Own Well-Being
05/02/2020 Duración: 33minAngie is not a doctor. Nor does she pretend to be one. Just a woman sharing her experiences. A Bloomberg Opinion article about bosses taking care of their employees and how it effects the economy, sparks the idea of your own personal well-being being your responsibility.

It's Never Too Late to Change
29/01/2020 Duración: 30minAnother Tuesday, another show. I get stressed out when I have to make big decisions. The kind that could be life changing. It's not easy sometimes, but I have a good feeling about what's holding me back. Also, took a trip down YouTube and watched some Beastie Boys (which is really stroking my mojo). Furries aren't just a sex thing. Go figure.

Dude, Let It Go
22/01/2020 Duración: 25minIt's ok to get mad. We're human. But sometimes it's good to choose your battles and just let things go. Not everything deserves your attention.

Back From Hiatus - Let's Talk About HPV
15/01/2020 Duración: 33minAngie is back from her 2-year break to share...what she did on that two year break. It all starts with the phone. That little computer that perfectly in your hand and basically controls our life. No wonder people have problems.

Ep 34 - Dove's Latest Ad Deemed Racist
11/10/2017 Duración: 39minDove's latest ad on Facebook did not go over well and they don't have a great track record. When a friend has a key to your place it's very possible for them to just show up and scare you in the middle of the night. Romance then and now. If you decide to get your eyes tattooed make sure you research your artist.
