Week 1 of 13 in our 2020 Adult Christian Education Summer Series, "Fully Faithful, Fully Flawed." This week's lesson, led by Kaely Johnson, is titled: "What Does it Mean that "The Lord Looks at the Heart"? July 5th, 2020. Week 10 of 10; Rev. Matthew McNutt concludes the Summer Series on Faith & Science by tackling some of the remaining questions from the week before, summarizing the summer, and looking to the future of faith and science at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church.

Week 9 of 10; a panel made up of Bryan Crissinger, Rev. Todd Johnson, Dr. Herb Schrock, and Steve Taylor, tackle questions from the class on faith and science.

Week 8 of 10; Elaine Petty, M.S., teaches bioethics to med students at Georgetown University. She also works with the Endowment for Community Leadership, as well as having experience working around the world. She and her husband currently share a ministry of hospitality in their home in Washington, DC, called Capitol Hill Lighthouse. In her session she discusses why a Christian's view of life matters in this age of biotechnology.

Week 7 of 10; Dr. David Chen, a dual board certified hospitalist in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at Christiana Care Health System, graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a certificate in Engineering Biology, as well as completed a dual MD/MPH at Rutgers – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Health Systems & Policy, explores what it means to be a Christian in every aspect of life, including vocation.

Week 6 of 10; Dr. James Blosser, whose expertise is in biochemistry, serves as both a teacher at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church and a missionary with SALT's seminary, challenges the idea that there is a conflict between faith and science.

Week 5 of 10; Dr. Michael Greenberg, Professor and author, has been teaching and writing about mathematics at the University of Delaware since 1969, examines the days of creation from a Messianic Jewish perspective.

Week 4 of 10; Dr. David Bradstreet, Professor and Chair of the Astronomy and Physics Department at Eastern University, Director of the David H. Bradstreet Observatory and Julia Fowler Planetarium, author and speaker, asks the question, Are you a closet Deist?, in his second of two weeks at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church.

Week 3 of 10; Dr. David Bradstreet, Professor and Chair of the Astronomy and Physics Department at Eastern University, Director of the David H. Bradstreet Observatory and Julia Fowler Planetarium, author and speaker, examines the Book of Nature in his first of two weeks at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church.

Week 2 of 10; Dr. Jonathan Gibson, Associate Professor of the Old Testament and Hebrew, Westminster Theological Seminary, examines the historicity and importance of Adam.

Week 1 of 10; Rev. Matthew McNutt launches the summer series with a message challenging listeners on whether or not we are asking the right questions of scripture when it comes to the issue of science. While this message was part of the Skeptical sermon series, it also served to frame the direction of the 2019 Summer Series.
