  • Different in the same ways?

    06/04/2021 Duración: 26min

We had our friend B on this episode to talk about her research on autism, the inaccessibility of getting a diagnosis, and racial disparities in testing for neurodivergence. Plus, we talk about ADHDtok and how scarily accurate it can be. Note: We didn't get a chance to mention it in the episode, but the preferred terminology backed by autistic people for April is Autism Acceptance Month instead of awareness. This puts the onus of education and destigmatization on allistic people so we can have meaningful dialogue about building support systems for neurodivergent people. Hopefully, this episode is a good jumping off point for you to do your own research!
