We’re talking about the cataclysmic end of FMA 03, Conqueror of Shamballa.   Al and Hughes are both sullied beyond repair.  Lots of how’s and why’s here, BUT no explanations, no answers, and no satisfaction. This Season of Woe gets back on/off track with episodes 41, Holy Mother, and 42, His Name is Unknown.  Also, Kimblee and Scar play murder tag, we debate if losing limbs make you faster, and why is Lust white if she was Ishvalan? Oh, right. It’s bullshit. 

That's right! We still have a show after another hiatus.  This week we are looking at episodes 39/40 Secret of Isabel and The Scar.  We also discuss what the definition of a him-bo is, Mustang's team still bullying a child, and how Wrath spends his free time.  It's gross.

This week we hit a few more familiar beats with Episodes 33 Al, Captured (great title for his memoir) and 34 Theory of Avarice (the theory is Greed smokes to look cool). We also discuss the wasted potential of Dante, Armstrong at a rave, Kimblee being a gross disappointment, everything  Archer does illegal, and Ed murders with logic. 

In a special side episode, Jodie and I discuss the feature "film", The Sacred Star of Milos. This movie has everything, generic characters, no homunculi, and multiple identity reveals!  But, seriously, who is this movie for? 

This week we wrap up the Arc of Why, because asking that question has become pointless.  In episodes 31 Sin and 32 Dante of the Deep Forest we learn that Envy is awful, gross, and a predator of children, Jodie proves she understands what’s happening, and enter Dante OOOooooOOOOooooo!!!

This week is just gross.  The Why Arc is in full(metal) swing with episodes  29 "Untainted Child" and 30 "Assault on South HQ." This week we learn why Winry is here, Wrath is just generally awful in ALL aspects, and we get our first look at the 2003 Gate of Truth (Lies). A lot of awfulness in this one, folks. 

Our Season of Woe continues into what we shall call the Why Arc.  Why is this happening? Why does any this matter? This week our 03 path starts to really diverge from our BH path with Episodes 21 The Red Glow and 22 Created Human.  We also discuss the nightmare that is Scar's brother walking around naked, the return of Tucker, and military issued pajamas.  It's a good time.
