Our heart determines our worship. Our worship either prevents or creates idolatry in our hearts. The heart is always the key.

On the surface, this can seem like the easiest of the Ten Commandments to obey, but our God is not always the God we profess with our mouths but the God that is honored in our actions.

One of the hardest things to overcome as followers of Christ is how our perception of our earthly father has shaped our perception of our Heavenly Father. Let's allow the Scripture to shape our perception about God as a Father.

You will never have an educated faith until you’ve experienced doubt. Doubt makes us ask hard questions and keeps us from being satisfied with easy answers. Doubt drives us to our knees and to the Word. Doubt didn’t push Thomas away from Christ or the other disciples; it moved him to the place where all his doubts would be answered through an encounter with Christ.

The disciples who walked with Jesus for 3 years didn't understand the resurrection right away. If they experienced this kind of confusion about what He was doing then be encouraged if you’re feeling the same. When the Lord is ready He brings clarity. His timing is perfect. Choose to walk with Him through your confusion trusting that clarity is coming. And trust that He is with you every step of the way until it comes!

Just as the snake had to be lifted up for Israel to be healed; Jesus had to be lifted up for us to be healed. Encouraging message on Easter Sunday. Let's see Jesus and receive the healing from our sinful life.

Passion Week was a trying time for everyone involved in the story. We talked about the crowds that turned on Jesus because their knowledge of Him could not sustain their misunderstanding of Him. But don’t forget that the majority of Christ’s closest followers also struggled with their misunderstanding of Him. What about you? Who is Jesus for you?
