June 5, 2016 “Who is in Charge Here?” A Communion Meditation Ephesians 5:21-33
05/06/2016 Duración: 25minPaul gives a revolutionary view of Christian marriage. 1. Christians are to submit to one another (Ephesians 5:21). A. Wives are to submit to their husbands (Ephesians 5:22, 24). *Submit means to be supportive of, to respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:33). B. Husbands are to be the head of their wives (Ephesians 5:23). *Head means: To set the right kinds of examples for their wives; To make sacrifices for their wives. C. Husbands are to love their wives with agape love (Ephesians 5:25, 28, 33). Why? Because Christ loves the Church that way (Ephesians 5:25, 29). Paul may be trying to get back to equality between husbands and wives (Genesis 1 and 2) before sin entered the world (Genesis 3). Husbands and wives are to submit to each other, and both submit to Christ. Who is in charge in the marriage? Christ is.

May 29, 2016 “Why We Need to Forgive Others” Ephesians 4:32
29/05/2016 Duración: 26minChristians need to have a lifestyle of forgiveness toward others. Christians are to forgive others because: 1. The Bible tells us to forgive others (Ephesians 4:32); Matthew 6:12). 2. Christ has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32); 3. We forgive others for our sake; Forgiveness is hard, not easy (Luke 23:34). How we forgive others: 1. We ask God to forgive us of an unforgiving spirit (1 John 1:9); 2. We choose to forgive others. 3. Forgiveness is not based on feelings. Forgiving others gives us emotional and spiritual freedom.

May 22, 2016 “Utilizing God’s Power” Ephesians 3:14-21
22/05/2016 Duración: 21minThis is a marvelous prayer from Paul about God’s power. These truths can be applied to us individually and as a church. 1. God can strengthen us with power through the Holy Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 4:16). 2. We need to be rooted and established in love (Ephesians 3:17). 3. We need to have power to grasp the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:18). 4. We need to be filled with the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). 5. God’s power can do much more in us than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:21). We need to give glory to God (Ephesians 3:21).

May 15, 2016 “Can We Lose Our Salvation?” Ephesians 1:13-14
15/05/2016 Duración: 27minWe receive salvation when we believe in Jesus as Savior (Ephesians 1:13). We are then marked in Christ with a seal (verse 13). This seal is the Holy Spirit (verse 13). The Holy Spirit is a deposit (verse 14). This deposit guarantees our inheritance (verse 14). With this inheritance we have redemption (salvation) (verse 14). What about Hebrews 6:4-6 and Hebrews 10:26-27? Our salvation is forever (John 10:27-29; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; 1 Peter 1:23).

May 8, 2016 “God’s Amazing Grace” Ephesians 1:7-10
08/05/2016 Duración: 23minThe problem we all have is sin (Ephesians 1:7; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8, 10). What is the solution to this problem? The answer: Faith in Jesus as our Savior for our salvation. How does this happen? In him (Ephesians 1:7) we have redemption (v. 7) through his blood (v. 7), the forgiveness of sins (v. 7), with the riches of God’s grace (v. 7), that (grace) he lavished on us (v. 8). God made known to us the mystery of his will (v. 9). See also Hebrews 1:1-2. God will one day bring unity to all creation under Christ (Ephesians 1:10). Our response needs to be one of thanksgiving (1 Corinthians 15:57).

April 24, 2016 “The God of all Comfort” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5

April 10, 2016 “Getting Sidetracked” 1 Samuel 9:2
10/04/2016 Duración: 29minAnyone can get sidetracked in life. We end up at a place altogether different than where we wanted to be. What do we do when we get sidetracked? 1. Confess our mistakes and sins to God (1 John 1:9). 2. If we have hurt others, ask for their forgiveness (Ephesians 4:32). 3. Learn from our mistakes (Acts 10:34-35). 4. Put the past behind us and move ahead (Philippians 3:13-14). 5. Dream some new dreams (Jeremiah 29:11-13). God gives us other chances. We need to commit our future to God.

April 3, 2016 “Pivotal Moments” (A Communion Meditation) Mark 10:17-22
03/04/2016 Duración: 20minWe all have pivotal moments in life. The rich young ruler had a pivotal moment. 1. He had an interest in eternal life (Mark 10:17). 2. He worshipped money instead of Jesus (Mark 10:21). 3. He would not give up his god and follow Jesus (Mark 10:22). Jesus died so that we can be cleansed of sin.

March 27, 2016 “What Kind of Bodies Will Believers Have in Heaven?” 1 Corinthians 15:35-44
27/03/2016 Duración: 20minThe Christian faith rests on the resurrection of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:12-20). 1. There will be a similarity between our earthly body and our resurrected body (1 Corinthians 15:35-38). What is that similarity? Our identity will be preserved. 2. There will be differences between our earthly body and our resurrected body (1 Corinthians 15:42-44). A. The earthly body is perishable; the resurrected body will be imperishable 1 Corinthians 15:42). B. The earthly body is dishonored; the resurrected body will be glorified (1 Corinthians 15:43). C. The earthly body is weak; the resurrected body will be powerful (1 Corinthians 15:43). D. The earthly body is natural; the resurrected body will be spiritual (1 Corinthians 15:44). Our flesh and blood will not enter heaven (1 Corinthians 15:50). Our resurrected body will be like the resurrected body of Jesus (Philippians 3:20-21). The only way to have this resurrected body is to trust in Jesus as Savior (John 3:16).

February 28, 2016 “God’s Plan for the Marriage Partner” Genesis 2:18-24
28/02/2016 Duración: 28minThe Bible is our guide regarding the marriage relationship. Here are some key texts for us: Genesis 2:18-24; Ephesians 5:25, 31-32; Romans 1:24-28, 32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, 18-20; 1Timothy 1:9-11; Galatians 6:7-8. What do these passages tell us? 1. God created marriage to be between a man and a woman, not between two men or two women. 2. Gay marriage and homosexual lifestyles are sinful and not according to God’s design. 3. Sexual relationships outside of marriage for heterosexuals are sinful as well. What about church membership here? 1. I do not present people to join this church who are in a gay marriage or who are living in a homosexual relationship. 2. I do not present people to join this church who are living a sinful heterosexual lifestyle. Although all sin is wrong, some sins have a greater consequence than other sins. Let us all seek God’s direction as we deal with these sensitive issues.

February 21, 2016 “Authentic Christians”, Romans 12:2
21/02/2016 Duración: 29minStudies show that the lifestyles of Christians and non-Christians are practically identical. Living as authentic Christians means: 1. Do not conform to this world (Romans 12:2); BUT 2. Be transformed (Romans 12:2); HOW? 3. By renewing our minds (Romans 12:2); (See also 2 Corinthians 10:4-5; Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:2). THEN 4. We will understand God’s will (Romans 12:2); God will empower us to live the right way (Philippians 4:13).
