This week we look at the first 3 Judges in the book: Othniel, Ehud, and Shamgar. In their stories we see that God delights in using people who don’t measure up to man’s expectations. Nowhere is this more on display than in the person and work of Jesus.

This week Pastor Aaron's big idea from the book of Judges is: Faith can be shared, but it can't be borrowed. Each person must individually must place their faith in Jesus to be saved.

Pastor Aaron opens our new sermon series on the book of Judges by preaching through the first chapter, describing the Hebrews' disobedience when conquering the Promised Land, and how their story applies to our lives. Half-hearted obedience is not truly obedience, and partial spirituality is more of a hurt than a help. The good news is Jesus obeyed fully when he went to the cross to pay the price for our disobedience.

Christians need to party. The end of the gospel story is a huge party—a “wedding feast”—where people from every nation gather together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the defeat of death.
