I am a strong believer in the philosophy that Sports are a platform for life's greatest lessons, Who Are You opens the door and takes us behind the scenes with the people who shape the world of sports, from teachers and educators, professional athletes and coaches to general managers and CEOs and lastly from entrepreneurs to community leaders. Who Are You takes immense pride in inviting experienced and quality guests to share all of the lessons they have learned during their current or past participation in sports. Through their experiences dealing with success and failure, listeners will learn from real-life stories and how influential sports have been during our guest's journey through life; which has created the foundation for their current mindset and focus. "Who Are You: The Life Lessons of Sports" is dedicated to opening the door and allowing amazing people from all over the world to share their stories with our listeners in order to help them understand the incredible life lessons that may be learned from sports. 09/07/2014Tyler McCandless is a professional distance runner, coach and PhD student (with current BS and MS degrees in Meteorology from Penn State). He runs between 90 and 100 miles per week, 50 weeks out of the year. Tyler travels all over the world to compete in marathons, including both local USA Cross Country Championships races in Boulder and faraway competitions such as the Kauai Marathon in Hawaii. He is currently working in Boulder, Colorado studying Meteorology with a focus on solar power forecasting. His current goal is to earn his PhD before the 2016 Olympic Marathon trials and be a contender for the Olympic team.
