S9E26 We Achieved The Points
30/12/2019 Duración: 01h34minIt's a two man show this week as Krys and good John are on to talk about the final matches of 2019, and the last fixtures before the top flight goes on it's winter break. The discussion starts off with Boxing Day's Edinburgh derby and differing fortunes both on the day and then into the weekend fixtures. There's a bit of a theme across the two sets of fixtures as most teams that did well in one didn't do quite so well in the other. Notable exceptions included St Johnstone who had quite a good week, and Kilmarnock who didn't. Despite this, they have appointed their manager until the end of the season, and we discuss why on Earth anyone thinks that's deserved. There's praise for Hamilton for doing what Hamilton always seem to do, St Mirren for somehow winning games narrowly, Livingston for making the most of their plastic pitch, and of course Rangers for coming out on top in Sunday's big televised match. Krys even holds his hands up, which is ironic given how Celtic got their goal on Sunday. He's not the only o

S9E25 The Kevin Twaddle Interview
24/12/2019 Duración: 01h43minF Bomb John and Krys are on and are privileged to be joined by ex professional footballer Kevin Twaddle. Kevin talks us through his career where he started off in the Juniors and managed to play senior football for a few teams including Hearts who he grew up supporting. He has some terrific stories to tell and he also answers all our weird and wonderful questions. He talks us through his troubles off the pitch in terms of his gambling issues and the book he wrote, "Life On the Line: How to Lose a Million and So Much More". We could easily have listened to Kevin talk even more about his career due to all the interesting stories he talks about. The Premiership review covers how Hearts are doing under their new manager. We cover the controversial tackles and good results for Motherwell and Livingston. Due to it being a longer one than usual we skip the lower league review. Thanks again to Kevin for coming on and we wish all our listeners a Happy Christmas. Thanks as always for listening. Tweet us @sffpodcastFace

We start with the action from last midweek which leads us in to the Premiership action from Saturday. As we've got Aaron on we get him to talk us through the events of Fauldhouse United's Junior Cup tie at Bridge of Don. There was a fair bit of publicity around the tie after it was initially called off due to suspicious reasons. The lower leagues are covered with the game of the weekend being in League Two. Our #pickitoot moment also came there as Brechin City's goalkeeper Lewis McGinn scored. Krys and Aaron talk us through the League Cup final as Celtic made it 10 domestic trophies in a row. Aaron has recently launched a football project called Time to Tackle. He discusses how it's been going in terms of helping others through football therapy. S9E21 What Did The Fox Dae
25/11/2019 Duración: 01h22minThere are four folk on the podcast with the regular trio being joined by returning guest Jon Connolly. It's an ideal time to get him on as his team Fauldhouse United were supposed to be playing in the Scottish Junior Cup at the weekend. The game however was called off due to some so called cunning foxes. We did ask Bridge of Don for a statement but they didn't respond. We then move on to the Scottish Cup and pick out the best results from the weekend and discuss the fourth round draw. There was only one lower league tie at the weekend so main focus is on what happened in the Premiership. The top two continued their good form while Hibs got off to winning ways under new manager Jack Ross. It's right at the bottom with three points separating the bottom seven. There's new ownership at Aberdeen which is discussed in terms of what may happen on and off the field. We finish off by previewing the European games and Glasgow City clinching the double by beating Hibs in the Women's Scottish Cup. That leads on to Clare

S9E20 Roll On March 2020
22/11/2019 Duración: 01h13minIt’s Krys and Good John this week, F-Bomb John has taken an extended break. We kick off with a brief review of the conclusion to Scotland’s Euro 2020 Qualifying campaign. A decent 2-1 in Cyprus saw the Scots come away with a 2-1 win, whilst Good John was one of the few who went to Hampden to see the side gain some kind of revenge on Kazakhstan with a 3-1 win. With three wins to end the section, it’s a starting point for Steve Clarke to build upon for the crucial Euro 2020 playoffs in March. So, who will Scotland face – Bulgaria, Hungary, Israel or Romania? The whole complicated process of Euro 2020 is covered by the guys. This should be the first and last time we see a Multi-host event for the Euro’s! By the time they come, some absent stars should be available, but where should Kieran Tierney play? Away from the International scene, the Challenge Cup saw Raith Rovers, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Partick Thistle and Rangers Under 21’s advance to the Semi Final stage. Partick will host Raith whilst the young

There's even the revelation that the Nations League itself has miraculously changed format and no one except John seems to have noticed. S9E7 Club 18 to 72 Holidays
19/08/2019 Duración: 42minIt's the two John's on again as Krys can't make it unfortunately and we have no interviews or special guests. We start off with the lower leagues with news of the first managerial sacking in the senior league with news of Barry Smith leaving Brechin. That leads us on to us discussing the lower leagues and leads us on to chat of some #pickitoot contenders. The top two leagues saw no games played due there being League Cup action. Five of the ties went to extra time which is probably unwanted at this time of the season. This leads us back to last Thursday and mixed results for our Europa League participants. Rangers went through comfortably while Aberdeen went out. We extend our warm wishes to Fauldhouse United manager Jon Connolly who has been struggling with his mental health recently. Once again Back Onside have been helping out. Check out the great work they do @BackOnside on Twitter. The podcast concludes with our tweet of the week and we pick our #pickitoot moment.
